• Wow. I hope that means a lot of surplus Berettas are gonna be on the market soon!

  • Even if they are, they would be so beat up that you would pay more replacing parts than it would cost to get a new one.
    If you like the Berettas so much, look at the Taurus. Their PT 98, and PT99, are made on the same platform, using the same machinery, because Beretta was making them in Brazil and sold everything to Taurus when they left. All they did was change the logo.

    • Akshully I DO have the PT99! I'm just status-conscious on the "real thing".

      • Oops! I made a bit of a mistake, I meant the PT99 and PT 101. Easily forgiven, since I don't own either one.
        A friend of mine has the PT99 in 9mm and the PT101 in .40 cal, with a conversion barrel for .357 sig. He loves them and swears he will never part with them as long as he's alive. I can't even get him to lend them to me to try them out.

• Perhaps the .25 caliber choice is to render the weapon useless, .45 might kill some body!

  • I'd rather see something like the Desert Eagle in .357 Mag, but it would be too big for most hands, and the recoil would hurt the girls.

    Um, no. Every pistol on this list is more accurate, reliable, has a higher magazine capacity, and better recoil control that the service grade 1911.

• In order to meet the hand size requirement, they will have to use a single stack magazine, which will limit the ammo capacity. A double stack mag will be too fat for about 1/2 the hand sizes they are requiring the gun accomodates.
