You know you are in a bad place when unemplyed street thugs have all the things they need for day to day existance - while I pay for it. This imbalance has got to be cancelled as soon as possible.
My body aches after a hard day of work earning a living and paying taxes. Is there a government program that gives away free hot tubs or vouchers for massages?

If your EBT is in good standing because your household earnings total less than 150% of the recommended poverty level, you may qualify for a hot tub as long as it seats no more than twice the number of people living at your house. I think I'm kidding.
Hell, if you get EBT, you could always go relax at a strip bar, at least until the new bill passes.
Or go get a massage with a "Happy Ending". I'm sure Medicaid covers that.
It has already happened. It has been on my bill for the past three or four months in fact at first they were stating what it was and now they changed the name of the tax into something ambiguous.

Well that does it. This is the straw that has forced my hand. Until now, I have had an AT&T land line phone for the security system on my house. I now understand security companies have a wireless option for monitoring your home. Next week I will be switching over and ridding myself FOREVER of AT&T and their worthless land line telephone. I already have a MagicJack internet phone for any other calls I need to make (yes folks, they really DO work). I will do everything in my power to "John Galt" these parasites and get their greedy little paws out of my pocket. If a program exists that should be wiped from the face of the Earth, this "free" phone scam is surely one of them.
Drury, I have ADT and it works with a Vonage line also. That is much cheaper than the wireless setup they try to sell you.
The universal service fee shows up on cell phone bills as well. Didn't they all tell us this would never happen on that enormously long thread on free cell phones?
“Everything free for everyone.” Sure, it worked in the USSR. People queued up for days to "buy" stuff from stores with nothing to sell. But the prices were excellent!
But the politicians never lacked for anything. Interesting....
