Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner won’t talk about sexual predators at the IMF

A photographer was on hand to capture Tim Geithner choking on the truth

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner used to be a bigwig at the International Monetary Fund. He served as it’s director of Policy Development and Review from 2001-2003.

The IMF has now been exposed as a hot bed (you’ll pardon the expression) of sexual harassment. So Politico’s Mike Allen asked Geithner if he knew about the organization’s culture of harassment of women.

To tell you the truth, we’re not exactly sure what Geithner’s answer was. He stuttered. He stammered. He double-talked. He said words that didn’t link together in coherent thoughts.

Best as we can tell, he finally said, “I’m not qualified to talk about sexual harassment because I’m a man.”

One of the worst non-answers ever from one of the worst non-entities ever.

  • in the following sentence, "He served as it's Director of Policy Development.....", the word "it's" requires no apostrophe, dear Editor. Sorry, but bad grammar irks my ass.... love ya anyway!

  • The man can't run a TurboTax program so why the hell would anyone expect him to be able to find his ass with both hands and a map?

  • If he wasn't such snot nosed little geek, his non-answers would lead me to believe he pinched a little booty from the secretaries in the pool in the break rooms during his time there.

  • Best as we can tell, he finally said, “I’m not qualified to talk about sexual harassment because I’m a man.”

This is the most BS answer that I have ever heard from a politician. If he truly meant it, than I would suggest that he learn really quick what constitutes "sexual harassment" before he gets nailed. Or should I say before he nails someone!

  • Okay so if there was sexual harrassment he wouldn't know or be able to recognize it because he is a man... That is basically what he said right? He doesn't THINK so but he can't know for sure because he is a man. Right?

Okay so in his estimation men are stupid little beasts who are ignorant and blind. He however must be talking about liberal men then. I am glad that he at least admits that liberal men are crap.

    • I haven't had any training in the field, but I know how to respect the few women I come into contact with in my profession. It's really just a matter of being a decent person. Mr. Tim there just admitted that he isn't.

      • Exactly. If he did not engage in sexual harrassment of any kind, he may have done nothing about it if he did encounter it in another person.

        • I clearly remember one day, when we were doing the grading for a new airport, when the Apprentice Program sent out a brand new, never been on a job Apprentice. And she just happened to be a 21 year old woman. The foreman, after completing all the obligatory paperwork, told one of the operators to show her to hot check the oil and fire up a 16-ton vibratory roller, show her the controls, etc. The operator actually told the foreman, "No. She should be at home nursing a baby." Right there in front of everyone. If I had been the foreman, I would have fired him on the spot. Since I was just a grade-checker, I took her over to the roller to teach her how to operate it. I never could understand what the guy's problem was, unless he was scared she'd do a better job than him.

      • Perhaps he doesn't want to judge the IMF guy in any way, in case the National Enquirer (or bloggers) wants to double check to see if his closet is clean and in order.

        • That's exactly what I was thinking as I listened to him dancing around the question.

He can't give a direct answer because it will be used against him when his own indiscretions come to light.

Now he has laid the groundwork for his defense.

"But I'm a man! I didn't know that rape was wrong because I'M A MAN!"

          Pathetic.

  • Just liuke the federale reserve and much of the UN, this criminal organization needs to be disbanded, as swiftly as possible.

  • Well OK, then you heartless Conservatives; if he's a nonentity, he shouldn't HAVE to pay taxes; so there. And if he IS a person, in the Obama administration, he doesn't HAVE to tell the truth (which hate speech, and HURTS) I' m afraid I don't see the problem here... everything looks in (New World) order...

  • Well, there you have it, he didn't have any feel for it because he was a man. Obviously he's not in touch with his feminine side, of course neither am I, but at least I know what sexual assault is. What a non answer, what a jelly spined a**hole, what a perfect example of liberal 'manlilessness' (don't worry Olivia, this is not a word...yet), what a perfect POS human trait for Olivia to defend! Go ahead Olivia, give your best copy and paste!

  • Timothy sure has a lot to say about getting rid of the dollar and forcing a world currency upon us.
