Too much like a joke to be real. So the leftwing Jewish mayor of one of the most corrupt cities in the world hires a comptroller with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. (What could go wrong?) Then two years later when the guy is indicted for money laundering the Jewish mayor praises him for helping “reform government.” (You couldn’t write this stuff.)

Yeah, I know that most likely none of the "elections" in Illinois are on the level, but the "normal" people aren't raising hell about the corruption at all levels of politics in that cesspool, so...enjoy. Especially the Chicago idiots. Hell, they don't even have to rig the elections in Chicago, the people there are so stupid, they honestly elect these sleazeballs.
Chicago will be the next Detroit. Granted, it will take longer since Chicago has more than one major industry, but it'll happen.

We've all heard the old, trite saying- when it's pouring outside, you might hear "nice weather, if you're a duck". Because the duck's "reality" is different from ours.
In the same way, the politician's reality is different from that of most of us outside the beltway, or outside of Trenton, Albany, Sacramento, Helena, Tallahassee (however the hell it's spellled), wherever. Controlling people to the point of opression; limiting rights every step of the way; taxing, taxing, taxing, then taxing some more, and then "investing" peoples' money after that by diverting as much as possible to your cronies, and often pocketing the rest - this is what they call "Tuesday". It is normal. And after 50 years of being a parasite, when he finally croaks, they tell us what a great "public servant" he was.
The imortant thing is always to recognize that "different species" of human. The easiest way to do that: they are the ones running for office.
