• Greg Gutfeld brought this story up about Britain's NHS killing off 130,000 elderly patients every year on "The Five" on Fox on Thursday. He said it was the scariest story of the week. Liberal Bob Beckel dismissed his words saying that many Americans drop dead on the street every year, presumably without health insurance or health care.

  • Classic! Welcome to the Carrollian world of Bob Beckl's Brain: Without health care, people will drop dead on the streets, so that means it's better to have a health care program that brings those people into a hospital and murders them, then sends the bill to the taxpayers.

    That dude is on acid!

  • This is funny because I just saw it right before reading this (I dvred it). People that die on the streets of natural causes are possibly homeless people some who have mental diseases who probably didn't have the mind to get any help at all (homeless shelter and community hospitals and so on). Having or not having insurance wasn't going to change their destiny and the health care system as it is set up is set up to help people like that who seek out the help. He is equating that to people who have sought help, but because of universal health care failures were euthanized instead of giving them the help they sought out in the first place.

  • Blob Schmeckel needs to shut up. His big claim to fame is that he ran the Dukakis campaign. With an epic failure like that, I wonder why anyone lets him speak!

• Not to worry, the members past and present of the House and Senate that voted for this little 4th Reich plan will continue to get the best healthcare from their private taxpayer supplied plan, because..... They deserve it!!! Just ask one

• The safest thing to do in the UK (and probably soon in the US) is if you get sick, don't go to the doctor. Do no harm to yourself.

• So when do they open the "King Barack Old Folks Showers"?

• TVTropes is such a wonderful tool. A while back I found the following under Useful Notes: Conspiracy Theories:

  It's amazing how intellectually dishonest this is, but not all shocking when you understand how liberals argue. Anyway, I thought it was DISINGENUOUS of the Troper not to mention that one of the big points of the debate (other than the fact that you would be forced to buy insurance if you don't want it) was that Obamacare would necessarily lock us into a one particular type of rationing while the free market allows individuals to decide to buy (or not to buy) different types of insurance, therefore allowing those individuals to decide what type of rationing that each of them would like.

  But we can't have that. Because according to liberals and NHS doctors, you shouldn't have the right to decide to even TRY to live longer if they've decided that you're too old.

• They started with saying they wanted abortion to be legal in a few so-called hard cases. A few decades later they're defending the infanticide of partial-birth abortion. They also referenced a few so-called hard cases of suffering in pushing for euthanasia. Then they start killing off the old, the sick and the handicapped even when they want to live. And they're the ones always bringing up a slippery slope. Modern medicine has fallen for the temptation of the serpent in the Garden in thinking that it is the god over human life deciding what is right and what is wrong, who will live and who will die. As the possible full implementation of Obamacare approaches, one asks: Could Obama and his crew exhibit more coldness towards vulerable human life? Unfortunately, too many modern medical personnel are pagans stripped of any Judeo-Christian/Natural Law ethic about the value of human life and the redemptive power of suffering. The Hippocratic Oath means nothing to them. And so they have little if any compassion towards the suffering. There also seems to be a lack of knowledge about controlling pain in a moral way among modern medical personnel. Keep these things in mind when you or your vulnerable loved ones enter a hospital.

  • The left's favorite game is the incrementalism of "We just want this one little, very reasonable thing," and then sliding into "Y'knooooow... if we have 'A' we're going to need 'B' as well." But don't worry. They'll NEVER ask for "C"! Right.

    That's why they always think we have some hidden sinister motive to everything we argue and propose: because they themselves always have such a hidden agenda and they project that deviousness onto us.

• Someone said at some point that if you loved your parents and grandparents you would not vote for Obama again or something like that and he or she got laughed at... It is a real situation and if we don't do something about it, it is going to happen here. Societies are measured by the types of prisoners it has en masse, by how women and children are treated and by how the elderly are treated.

• This is one of the things I feared about Obamacare. When they think you have reached your expiration date, they will cancel your warranty, and it's all based on cost.
