2 generals "relieved of command" for telling the truth? Thanks for that verification of free speech. He is correct. And throwing more money at it will not change the basics. Karzii is playing both ends against the middle to get all he can personally and for his country. He sucks up to whomever he is currently with. Why are our politicians so blind to that? I come from a heavily military family. I get the military, but this is nuts-a waste with no purpose or end in sight. AND NO ONE seems to get that. This is worse that Viet Nam!

Typical Washingtoon response to a man that speaks his mind. Realistically thought General Allen was not "fired", he will be re-assigned to some obscure Pentagon office and be allowed to quietly retire. General George S. Patton knows what that is like and is rolling over in his grave.
Though I have always thought that Patton's untimely death after being "accidentally" stuck by a jeep to be very suspicious. And of course what he said was true. He was a soldier not a diplomat.
The next objective was Vladivostok, obviously. Saying that got him killed.
Pure BS.. I couldn't see anything wrong with General Allen's statements, especially after Afghanistan ready to side with Pakistan. Fuck them.. Time for us to get out and leave them to their ruin

One, since when are soldiers "fired?" That's a civilian, corporate term and denigrates the military.
two, it's a shame that Gen. Allen is being disciplined for speaking the truth.
three. Gen. Allen's superiors ought to be backing his play BECAUSE he had the guts to say what everybody who has any sense at all already knows.
