The story is that it is the taxes that force companies to more business friendly cities, states, and countries. It is factor but a small one. The biggest reason is the regulations and the burden that puts on every company and citizen. California is the worst. highest UE insurance rates, highest workers comp rates, highest regulatory costs,...
I believe that governmental regulatory costs are at $14,500+/- per year for every American household. That's more money than most pay in taxes. That cost buys us pretty much nothing. I had companies in Kalifornia and would never start another one here. The last on was a small automation/engineering firm. We sold equipment to others and were basically a sales tax free company. Meaning that we resold everything we bought. Not once, not twice, but three times were had a sales tax audits. These would be weeks long and take out very valuable people to answer some fucks ignorant questions and give them paperwork. That cost us tens of thousands of dollars in missed time, delays, and OT. In another field I was a partner in a restaurant. The food inspector would come and always put something on the TO-DO List. She once told me that she thought it was her job to make us upgrade and spend money even if we were in complete compliance. Those costs were of course passed on to the customers.
The Kalifornia government is there to make things as hard as possible on the citizens, companies, and private sector in general. We are close to the soviets in that there are close to only three classes of citizens now. The very poor, the government workers and the elites. The left's war on the middle class is just about as advanced here as it can get in state wide terms. In short, we can see Detroit from our living rooms.
The longer the libtards term in the office, the further down we go......Congradulations to every demotard in Kalifornia, at the rate your going the only thing left in a couple years will be taco trucks and chinese restaurants and those folks won't need a bullet train..

California would make a lot more money if they built that bullet train to stop in Texas.
They could deliver our produce much faster if they did. Downside; to offset cost of shipping via bullet train, avocados would cost about $19 each.

It's all good, Jerry Brown will easily make up the lost tax revenue by simply raising the state sales tax, income tax, and corporate tax. It's not like any other businesses will dare leave Kookifornia.
Just following Nissan's example. They left California for Tennessee years ago. What do Texas and Tennessee have in common? No state income tax and both are right to work states, for starters.
