Transsexuals battle feminists – transsexuals win. In the UK, feminist writers who made jocular comments about transsexuals were called on the carpet (so to speak) for political incorrectness. Philosophically, we don’t know who to root for in this one… but we did notice transsexuals seem to be better looking.

I agree with the obvious. Equal pay, equal opportunity, equal access to credit, mortgages, etc. But why only interview people who are clearly unhappy with their gender, and want to force everyone else to be unhappy as well. Feminist should as quickly bring to mind a reasonable attractive womanwith a brain as these misanthropes who judge women who LOOK like women. You can be smart and competent and strong and still do your hair, wear a little flattering makeup and clothes that are appropriate for the occasion. WHy is that so bad?
Working renfaires for 13 years, I've seen all types, even been fooled completely by a few. There are some hot trannies out there, don't let anyone fool you.
That said, many of them aren't happy with their lives, never really feeling like they are who they were supposed to be. That kind of confusion runs deep, and sometimes causes lots of issues. I always just tell them that their plumbing doesn't matter to me. They are people, no further labeling needed.
I used to work with a guy who's motto to people who tried to put him down was;
"Honey, I am more man than you will ever be, and more woman than you will ever have."
Nice person, great worker, and a lotta fun to hang out with.

Plus we had a transsexual politician running for office as a guest on the radio show. Before or during her(?) appearance, my co-host brought up pictures of the Miss Universe contestant and the producer and I couldn't believe she(?) was once male. I still have trouble believing it.

Exactly. Basically, the (first) feminist complimented transsexuals. But when you're hyper sensitive and waiting breathlessly for your next chance to play the victim, you take what you can get.
