HBO’s new season of True Blood will target conservatives. HBO targeting conservatives is nothing new, but this time the network is portraying conservatives as vampire theocrats who want to farm humans for their blood. Starting tomorrow. In an odd coincidence, President Obama recently debuted a new campaign ad that called Romney a vampire. Shortly before that, Obama was calling for a “new era of civility in politics.”

A funny story but how do you fight this? I have a friends whose daughter listens to Green Day and other crap, watches this stuff and grew up in front of a tv and video game. Shes 17 - guess her political leanings?
I spoke to the kid abou economics, Obama etc - well shes 17 - but you know - kid is totally indoctrinated. How do you fight that? She loves Obama but cant explain why except that hes black and realy rrally smart - she hates George Bush - why - hes realy really dumb - Republicans - racists - corporations - evil - Capitalism - unfair and racist - YOU can't make this stuff up. So yeah, yo ucan laug - but who gets the last laugh?
You're right, Dave. Conservatives need to understand that cultural battles are as important as political ones. That's why the liberals went nuts when Mel Gibson made "The Passion Of The Christ" in 2004. They feared that a talented filmmaker was going to awaken the sleeping masses by causing them to re-examine their roots.
So the human religious group that was targeting vampires in the series wasn't enough conservative bashing?!
That's when I stopped watching. Clearly they were trying to make a point then, and I tuned out. No longer have HBO.
I cancelled HBO years ago, apparently I haven't missed anything of consequence. The real vampires of today live in Hollywood, they suck money out of the movie going, HBO watching public and then write big checks payable to Obama during his endless fund raising trips to California.
Too bad they can't portray the liberals as the lazy, whiny, parasites that they are. But at any rate, you can kiss this series goodbye.
The only good thing about this plot line is that the majority of the viewers won't even get the connection.
Poppa, that's a very good point. So many people, especially those that watch the crap on HBO, are professionals at emoting and rarely have a critical thought in their heads, so how could we expect them to see the absurdity in any of the plot lines that HBO spews in their campaigning, er.. I mean, programming.

Maybe they should consider how well the series "24" did after it went off the rails to the left.
And the fact that the ep where Garafalo got her head blown off was a ratings boom for the show that season...

They're the ones who defend every kind of abortion and want to mine the human embryo for spare parts. The President who never met an abortion he wouldn't defend is portraying Romney as a "vampire"?
I know Veep is supposed to be a characature of Sarah Palin, but whenever I see the previews, I think of Joe Biden!
