Trump has one point, He's partially correct. Under "Dear Leader's" tutelage Everybody's laughing at us.
I guess I must be simple, but I hope Trump promotes the eventual nominee all the way to his inauguration. While I have never seen Trump's TV shows, I am familiar with his tone and outlook towards America's enemies and detractors, as well as his business successes, so I think his contributions will be helpful.
I hate when the link goes to CNBC.... The people who are on the comments don't seem to be very well informed..... Possibly because they are gettting all their news on CNBC.com........

You're basically right about Trump. If Trump is talking about real estate deals and develpment, I'm all ears, especially since I am a consultant in the field. But the problem with Trump is that he is also a professional celebrity.
Now I don't begrudge him that. He chooses his game, and I can choose not to watch his shows or pay attention to who he's dating, or otherwise rubbing shoulders with. I understand that a little celebrity is good for business. Far be it for me to sit in judgement of his ways of being successful.
But I have a couple of problems with him:
1. When he does speak, sometimes it is difficult to discern whether it's Trump the businessman, or Trump the celebrity speaking. When I hear sound bites quoted, did he say it because he means it, or because it will garner some attention?
2. There is a major psychological condition that seems to go hand in hand with celebrity. Fame seems to make people think that they are also brilliant geniuses. I might go to Trump for advice on real estate, but I won't go to him for advice on marriage, billions of dollars notwithstanding. Like the Hollywood stars, Trump seems to think that he's expert in everything having anything to do with money.
3. I know this from first hand experience in NJ. We elected Jon Corzine as governor. People were calling in to talk shows, and even some talk show hosts were repeating the mantra that because he's rich, "he's not beholden to special interests".
Not beholden my ass. He is his own damn special interest. And so is Trump. Possibly even subconsciously, Trump will see the world and it's problems through the lens of what is good for business. HIS business.
How do I know this?
Last time I checked, he's human.
I wish the Conservative media would give analysis on Trump like you just did, instead of kissing his rear all day long. I have nothing against Trump, he's just new to Conservatism. I'm like half the age of Trump (actually younger than half his age), yet I've been a Conservative longer than he has, but he acts like he is the Prodigal Son and all us Conservatives own him something. It's very annoying.

When I say Conservative media, I mean FOX, Limbaugh, Savage... to be honest when I hear Trump on any of their programs, and they go forth with the rear kissing, I lose a lot of respect for them.
Don't forget, this guy voted for Obama. Yet, for whatever reason, many people in the media who are right of center have decided to kiss is rump, I don't get it. He says a few good things, but he certainly is not Gods gift to Conservatism, although he may view himself as such.
My ultimate point, I think he considers his point of view as the the be-all, end-all, point of view, although about 3 and 1/4 years ago he voted for Obama. Now all of a sudden he views himself as the person who will take us Conservatives and America to the promise land. I think he needs to check his ego at the door, then discuss the issues, because we (IMHO) are not a party of egos.

Even through the copy and paste, I missed the word "conservative". So I go off on a rant as if you're talking about the MSM (or as Ann Coulter refers to it, the NFM - Non-Fox media).
But yes, I agree with you.
There are some people who manage to pull off this charade, of throwing out a few sound-bites and having them eaten up by conservatives hook, line, and sinker.
I guess a lot of people view Trump as "he's gotta be billiant, look at all that success in business". But being president, or in congress, is not (or at least isn't supposed to be) like being in business. Trump can rule by executive fiat in his company. Do what he says, and how he says to do it or "you're fired". I have no problem with that. His success speaks for itself.
IMO, what we would get with Trump is a more palatable dictator. But the bottom line is, he'll still act like a dictator.
We already saw this with Perot, and here in NJ with Corzine (and his opponent in the gov race was a RINO multi-millionaire). I'm frankly sick of rich guys who grew their companies so big that they have numerous executives on their payroll who are capable of running everything (happy for Trump for his success), and then, out of boredom, go looking for a new hobby (not so happy about that).
I don't think Trump would be a "palatable dictator," I think the power of being president would rush to his head and the explosion would hurt us all.
I think his hobby is his TV show, which he promotes by talking about how terrible Obama is, even though he voted for him. If this guy was serious, given the money he has, he would not live and die by his TV show, he would be doing everything in his power to help secure the future of America.
To me, "The Donald" cares about the popularity of "The Donald" not about this country. He wants attention and ratings, nothing else.
"palatable" was a poor choice of word. "Less horrible" may be better.
I basically agree, though I would say that he cares not only about his popularity, but also about his wealth. He may be confused about the difference between his wealth and that of the whole country, thinking that as long as something is good for The Donald, then ipso facto, it's good for the country.
But that would be in the best case. It's more likely, IMO, that he consciously doesn't give a shit about the rest of the country any further beyond maintaining an ability of enough people to pay for his pricey condos.
That is a tough one. We're instructed by our trolls that FOX and Limbaugh are extreme far right wing radical elitist controllers of our minds. I am at a loss as to how to properly identify the conservative media.

The problem with the media is that they have no desire that you or anyone else understand anything. They have the goal of getting as many people to watch/listen/read so they can charge as much as possible for the advertising.
I don't have a problem with that. But we need to have the proper perspective and either not expect anything else from them, or stop imagining that we "know all about it" after watching the evening news on CNN. Then go and take responsibility for your (the general "you", not the "you, Joe" you) information and find it yourself instead of expecting someone else to feed it to you.
