“In tonight’s headlines, trouble in the Middle East, unemployment jumps, and I’ll sell you this suit for $125.”

As you might expect, some suits are priced lower than others

We may hate the media, but we have to admit that those TV news folks dress very nicely.

Now a new website is selling slightly-used clothing that TV news people can’t wear out of fear that viewers may have seen a little too often.

The consignment website is called TVNewsCloset.com. It was initially set up to sell TV professionals clothes to other TV professionals. But the site is really open to anyone.

As the site says, “Whether you are an anchor, reporter, meteorologist, sportscaster, or host, you can make money and save money with TVNewsCloset.com.”

Unfortunately, TVcloset.com doesn’t tell you who consigned the clothing to the website. That is, you won’t know if that gorgeous Brooks Brothers suit was worn by Brian Williams or the weather doofus in Asheville, North Carolina.

And that’s unfortunate. Because we’d buy anything if we could be assured that it had once graced the body of Fox News’ Courtney Friel.
