  • They look good! Question is, will the new non-union employees face a learning curve when they restart the Twinkie assembly line? Will the first week of Twinkies taste like crap?

      • What would you know about a fair wage? Real wages have been going down since the mid 1980's, mainly thanks to gooberment regulations. Especially the EPA regulations.

        I'll keep it simple for the simple minded, that's you crawley. In 1985 I made a dollar per week and a Twinkie cost one penny. Today I make two dollars per week so a Twinkie should cost two cents but it costs six cents instead. Why? Because OSHA, the EPA, local regulations, all these gooberment agencies have rules they want followed, that cost money, which added two cents to the cost to make a Twinkie. The other two cent rise in cost came from the unions. More wages, more benefits, hire more do nothing people, force the company to do things that make no sense, all these things cost money and that cost gets passed to the consumer. So, we have to pay six cents for a Twinkie that should cost two cents.

        Corporate greed has nothing to do with it boy, gooberment and union stupidity are the blame.

  • Deep fried Twinkies? That sounds as nasty as a deep fried pickle. My sister-in-law, who is built like a 5 ft. tall Twiggy and eats like a lumberjack, tried one at the state fair last year. I couldn't watch her eat it and headed for the beer pavilion instead. (snicker)

• Unions are Glorified Mafia . They are not for the people but tell them when to strike and collect Dues each week thru payroll and you are force to JOIN or else. Back in the 20's and 30's they might have been needed but now ? And if you don't strike you do not get paid for the week? So Unions and Big Gov is what killing US.
