Who cares? The last good movie he was in was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and even then he only did as good as he did because of Paul Newman.
The Paul Newman charm worked for him in The Sting too, well after Butch and Sumdunce. But really now, Three Days of the Condor wasa great movie, as long as you consider all the other great movies of that same period were styled very much the same, and Newman was nowhere to be found in that one. Now Newman, great actor and a real commie, too.

I can't remember if I've seen anything either of them have done since The Sting.
I will still stop what I'm doing if Cool Hand Luke comes on. If you look carefully at the actors who played the inmates, it is a who's who of classic character actors.
I forgot about that one. George Kennedy was great in that one.
He won an Oscar for that role.
