UN calls for ‘billionaires tax’ to help world’s poor

• Close the UN and ask those pricks for ALL our money back...From all those Shithole Countries we GAVE it to. Then Lock the doors with the delegates inside and push the building into the Hudson River....The crap will flow out with the tide and hopefully wash up somewhere in Europe.

  We have a huge foreign entanglement that is about to get bigger. What is it and how can we stop it?

  The foreign entanglement that we have, that we never should have had, is the United Nations.

  The United Nations was set up after World War II to prevent another world war. The previous body, the League of Nations had failed but at least the United States had the good sense to stay out of this one. Unfortunately, Franklin Roosevelt got us into the new United Nations.

  Liberals never seem to understand that if something fails because it is a bad idea that does not mean you repeat it.

  That is exactly what has happened. The United Nations has grown to a monstrous bureaucracy. People like Barack Obama and the Party of Treason want America to be subservient to the United Nations.

  Those who support the United Nations realize the UN has one major flaw that keeps it from becoming the overwhelming world bureaucracy and tool to eliminate freedom and liberty they want it to become.

  The UN lacks a taxing authority.

  The UN derives its funding primarily though member contributions, of which the United States pays the largest share.

  Occasionally the United States will express its displeasure at the corruption and waste at the UN by withholding some of our dues.

  This just irritates the hell out of the global bureaucrats because they know better than we do how our money should be used.

  So what is the solution?

  The UN wants to be able to tax people and corporations.

  The UN is proposing that billionaires in this world pay a 1% surtax to the United Nations from their net wealth. This is not from their income but from their wealth. The UN estimates there are 1225 billionaires in this world, not counting corrupt socialists and third world dictators who use their nations as their piggybanks.

  The UN figures that all together their net worth is $4.6 trillion and if they UN could take a slice of that, it would raise $46 billion.

  In typical socialist fashion, the bright lights at the UN have asked, “What would it hurt them” to be forced to have 1% of what they own stolen from them?

  The UN is trying to come up with all kinds of ways so it can become self-sustaining through taxes. It wants to impose carbon taxes. It wants to impose international transaction taxes and taxes on international flights.

  The problems with the UN are legendary. It has not only a massive, bloated and inefficient bureaucracy, it is also corrupt.

  The UN regularly treats dictators and mass murderers with greater respect than it does the leaders of democratic nations. The UN celebrates those who destroy freedom and liberty. The UN celebrates those who murder their own people and repress them yet it vilifies nations that are free.

  The UN claims the money it wants to raise the money to “help the poor.”

  Where have we heard this before?

  The United States has been doing this for almost 70 years. All we have done is waste a lot of money. The money we have spent for the “poor” in the Third World has not gone to the poor. It has gone to corrupt governments and dictators.

  How many third world dictators have become rich because western aid that is supposed to be going to the people instead goes into their pockets?

  How many third world nations have become wealthy because of western aid? The answer is zero.

  We are coming up on the 67th Anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.

  What has American gotten from the UN?

  Nothing but one big bill.

  While Barack Obama and the Party of Treason worship at the altar of the United Nations, we the sane people of America need to tell our elected officials that the United States receives no benefit from being a member of this organization and it is time for it to go.

• How about evict the Useless Nitwits and put the building and property on the market. Considering the cost of Manhattan Real Estate, the cash could help feed a lot of hungry people.

    • The government also heavily promotes poverty and stupidity. It is a well known fact in simple economics that if you want less of something, you tax it. If you want more of something, you subsidize it. Poverty, stupidity, single parent families, sloth, have all been heavily subsidized for many decades.

• If I was a billionaire, I'd be organizing the world's billionaires to fund the de-ligitimization and destruction of the UN and everybody who works for it.

I asked him this, If you were in need of protection from whatever genocidal manics were out there, would you prefer to have US military protecting you? Orrrrrrrrrrrrrr, would you rather have UN "peacekeepers" & their power blue helmets? He laughed at the question, & I said, "...I thought so".

  • I am with you. Were I so rich I'd make sure before I passed on every cent I had, save a little for the family, would go toward exposing the slime and corruption in the UN. A daily drumbeat of propaganda against these bastards.

    • I can see it now: the corrupt band manager, George Soros, steers the band in the wrong direction, losing their young fan base and killing their revenue. We'll see Barry 10 years from now, deep in the throes of alcoholism from too many nightly beer summits trying to relive the good old days. • Ask yourself these questions: If this tax was enacted, how much of the $400 billion would be siphoned off by UN bureaucrats, how much would be confiscated by Third World kleptocrats, how much would be wasted in worthless "green" and "make work" projects and, finally, how much would actually benefit the poor?

  Just think of Obama's $857 "Stimulus Package" and you'll know the answers.

  Remember: world tax = world government. How much time would pass before the "billionaires' tax" morphs into the "millionaires' tax" and then into the "middle class tax" on all those privleged First World citizens.

• How about a tax on corrupt UN bureaucrats? We could send the Marines to NYC to collect it.

• Granting global taxing authority to the UN under this guise is the equivalent of forced worldwide Socialism IMO. Not to mention it would ensure that the monies taxed would be pissed away in true UN fashion. Who would get stuck trying to enforce this? The US military of course... free of charge to the UN, paid for by the US tax payer.
