UN wants World Tax to “help the poor.” The UN, to co-opt economist Peter Bauer’s line, is “an excellent method for transferring money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries.” They haven’t given up on the global warming scam either. When’s the UN 3-card-monte game start?

After so many years of lyndon johnson's failed "great society" scam, it should be clear to any observer that giving money to the poor is like pouring gasoline on a fire. Having the third-world criminal element known as the unitited nations give away our money, has no chance but to deliver even worse results!
Actually, the UN is Woodrow Wilson's wet dream come true. It is becoming what he wanted the League of Nations to be.
Who are the poor according to the UN? Because millions of Africans are still dying, are still diseased and still hungry. Trillions plus plus every year and pretty much all socialist or Jihad centric African countries are still cesspools. Obviously the poorest of the poor aren't getting much of their help. They don't need more money, they just need to go away.
If the trillions of dollars solicited to help people in Africa actually *went* to help the poor in Africa, there would be no poor there. However, in the first place, it mostly goes to warlords and to buy dictators and corruptocrats like Bunky Moon gold toilets.

Exactly. Many African regions were actually doing just fine before European Imperialism, socialist/marxist and Muslim influences. It was not perfect but then what is? In the end all that money is not really helping it is making it worst.
Our assumption that OUR lifestyle is the one everyone should try to achieve is egocentric at best. While I certainly would like better sanitarion and medical care pretty much everywhere, I am not sure that encouraging everyone to be hyperactive achievers and acquirers is necessarily a good thing. prime rib, fois gras and Champaigne? No. Many peoples are relatively happy in there simple lifestyles, and we should not force them to be more greedy and self centered as we are. Our lifestyle has its own problems. Heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, mental illness, increased crime (some of which stems from jealousy) lack of adequate housing and a lack of sanitation and clean water in the wealthiest nation in the world. And more often than not, Americans as a group seem to be unhappy, with all that we have.
Exactly. Money alone is not going to make a big change and certainly not a lasting change. There are still tribal traditions and practices, vendettas, lack of education, medical care, unwillingness to MAKE any changes. No matter how much money you throw at a 3rd world country, it is not going to make the residents "just like us." The Masai have been doing there thing for centuries. In their opinion, they are happy, wealthy (all those cattle) and healthy. Why should they change anything? Multiply that by about a zillion tribes and there you have it. Add inthe Muslims trying to force Islam down everyone's throat at the point of a sword (actually a gun, but metaphorically speaking) is just making everything worse.
Fine. They can start their bogus tax. And we will NEVER give one red cent more to any other country for humanitarian aid, medical aid, food aid, disaster aid. It can all be paid out of the UN taxes.
The United Nations has NO authority to tax anyone. They try this shit and I think we ought to throw them in the Hudson river and let them swim back home. Its usefulness is long since past and it needs to move to another country. I am soooo sick of these jerks from other countries telling us what to do, where we should spend our money, how we should be have. They are like a world nanny, I say screw em, kick their asses out, stop giving them ANY money and let them have a going out of business rummage sale. Any money from the sale pays for parking tickets that the diplomats never paid while in New York.

The UN needs to be disbanded, & we pay for this sh!t. We will continue to do so until the UN tries to send "peacekeepers" with their powder blue helmets into some part of the USA.
The UN wants a tax to pay their grossly overrated salaries. I'm sure "Dear Leader" and Billery have expressed their support for yet another wealth redistribution scheme.
The UN went on to say that they will only require an 80% administration fee on all "help the poor" donatio...er extorted money from each worl...er USA citizen and the great grand children.

I guess this latest U.N. tax will be a supplement its proposed global warming tax. Any tax to "help the poor" or "stop global warming" will merely become a slush fund for U.N. employees to tap for their own benefit. It's a waste of our time and our money. The U.N. is inimical to democracy, freedom and prosperity.
