Union Joins Opposition to Common Core National Standards and Tests. We’re glad they’ve joined, but they’ve joined for the wrong reasons. What they don’t get is that Common Core is deliberately being shoved down everyone’s throats. It’s being rushed and there’s no accountability for a reason. It’s called brainwashing and they do get it in Washington, DC. They want it implemented before anyone figures out what’s going on, then it will be too late.

I really hate seeing all teachers painted with a union brush. Many don't agree with what the unions are claiming, and many more are too busy actually trying to teach kids to pay attention to the babbling out of their officers. I think the unions have gone overboard on their demands, but they wouldn't exist if employers would pay decent paychecks (what most unionized workers get now I feel is outrageous) and medical care, the unions would not have developed. They are ALL communist based organization (go read their history if you don't believe me) and the Management types left a huge door for them to walk through by NOT fairly paying their employees. If businesses would do the right thing, there would be no need for unions. I know as a nurse in a non union state, I didn't make as much as my nephew makes working for ATT, even though I had a degree and some 40 years of experience, as opposed to his 2 year general studies degree, and whatever otj training was provided. I have to pay for my required continuing ed, as well as use an off day to go. Teachers are teaching in a war zone. They deserve way more than they are bieng paid, and the failures of the educational system can often be traced back to the failure of the parents to make education a priority. So hate the unions, but go easy on the teachers out there who are trying.

This national standard crap is not only a way to indoctrinate instead of educate, it is also a way to keep tabs on what the teachers are teaching. If they don't indoctrinate the kids in the approved manner their ass will be out the door!
