U.S. border agent jailed for improper arrest of suspected drug smuggler. “A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been sentenced to two years in prison for improperly lifting the arms of a suspected 15-year-old drug smuggler while handcuffed — in what the Justice Department called a deprivation of the teenager’s constitutional right to be free from the use of unreasonable force.” Just when you think things at the border can’t get any worse the government sinks to another low.

So this means we can start suing the Mexican government every time the actions of one of their citizens results in the injury or death of a US citizen?

That's an excellent suggestion. Every person that is injured by a drunk Mexican driving illegal should file a law suit against the Mexican Govt then stand in front of the nearest consulate with a sign that with the person who has caused them harm.
If they are harmed by the cartel and any of their members, then the price should go way up. The cartel has no soul and they don’t care who the kill to get to their targets.

Its costs the Taxpayers a lot to train and equip Border Patrol Officers, and to put one in prison for doing the job he was paid for is just plain ignorant. The moral if the Border Patrol is probably very low at this time. That young dope smuggler is probably laughing his ass off about now, as well as his bosses.
Unless one had worked in Law Enforcment, they may have no idea how hard it is to ''cuff'' someone, who does not want to be cuffed, and that person does not have to even be fighting the Officer. As for the Mexican Gov. they should keep real quiet about it, since many of their own Officers are known to be corrupt and am sure they are not a bit worried about causing a suspect a bit of pain. Patroling hundreds of miles of U.S. border is almost impossible and insulting and punishing the ones who do makes no sense at all.
Be sure to let Eric Holder know how much you appreciate him jailing one of the guys protecting our borders. This was nothing more than a (&*&^%( message to the other agents to go easy on the criminals and treat them with respect...Bullshit! a 50 Cal Barrett about every thousand yards or so. The minute they cross the border, BOOM! let the Mexican Government come and get the two half's of the drug runner and put him back together.

So let me get ths straight. We have a drug smuggler, caught at the border, smuggling drugs, and he gets amnesty to testify against a border patrol agent who is doing what we sent him to do? WTF? People have lost their minds. This kid made a choice. A poor choice, in my opinon, but a choice nevertheless. Why is he being coddled, and why do we give a flying one what the Mexican Consulate has to say? It is not like Mexico, where the guy hcan just bribe his way out of jail if he has money. He was sent to jail and has lost his job for DOING his job! Sick.
Damnit from day one we are trained to use this technique. This administration is attempting to force the border agents to just stand there and let everyone walk right on it with out so much as asking how is your day.
That officer showed restraint. I'd have shot the kid, dumped his body and left a warning label on him. "Bring drugs to my country, to corrupt my youth and destroy what I cherish, and I will destroy you."
I bet it'd stop. I say we demand that officer be released. Demand his freedom, because he's damn well protecting ours.
