"Since the Congress “borrowed” the money, only Congress can pay it back. Yet the present Congress, held back by Tea Party Republican deficit hawks in the House of Representatives, is not inclined to add the repayment money to the deficit." "The Republican-controlled House which balks at paying for disaster relief, is unlikely to sympathize with unionized workers. If it won’t come up with money to help hurricane and earthquake victims, what’s a few old and poor people or those living in the hinterlands matter?" Funny stuff.
