Did you ever think you’d see the day when Vladimir Putin seems to be more concerned about the future of the United States than Ben Bernanke is?
If this story from Zero Hedge doesn’t sum up the dismal state of our economy, nothing does:
In a speech before the of economic experts at the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian prime minister had the following to say: “Thank God, or unfortunately, we do not print a reserve currency but what are they doing? They are behaving like hooligans, switching on the printing press and tossing them around the whole world, forgetting their main obligations.”
What appears to have angered the former KGB spy is the end of QE2. According to RIAN: “Putin’s comments came in the wake of the completion of the US’ quantitative easing (QE) 2 program on June 30, in which the Federal Reserve bought $600 billion worth of its Treasury bonds. The Fed’s first round of QE, which ended in March last year, amounted to less than half the size of QE2.”
Bernanke’s response? He’s now proposing QE3, which is also known as the Barack Obama Reelection Slush Fund.
The macho Putin could break Bernanke in half like a twig. And we kind of wish he would.

Ben Bernanke is the quintessential career government bureaucratic pinhead, hyper-educated to the point of stupidity.

I know it's hard to tell them apart, but according to Putin, Bernanke is the hooligan. Just another case of pot meeting kettle.
Any more, you can paper the walls of your bathroom, with your newly squozed Bernanke bills!
It would be really convenient if they started printing dollars on rolls especially for the bathroom.

I remember buying a couple hundred dollar bill toilet paper rolls way back in the 70's, when I was into that kinda stuff!
I'm beginning to wonder if there is a dollar's worth of difference between the feds printing oodles of cash and a counterfeiter.
The feds don't print money. A private corporation with a secret set of shareholders adds numbers to the reserve accounts of banks in its regions...in this case into the accounts of the primary dealers that buy bonds from the feds with the faith your great grand children will pay it off with your taxes.
The money in your wallet says federal reserve note, not U.S. Treasury note. The federal reserve is a nice ploy of a name but its really as federal as federal express.
So basically, what you're saying is, that the FED is essentially an off-off-shore banking network that uses the IRS's knuckle dragging goons to collect the debt for them. That means that our financial establishments are essentially a Ponzi scheme, SSA is essentially a Ponzi scheme, Medicare and Medicade are essentially Ponzi schemes, and basically all of our so-called entitlement programs are nothing more than Ponzi schemes, does that about sum things up? Why has no one done a perp walk wearing an orange jumpsuit, cuffs, leg irons and a belly chain yet?

At the end of the day, there are probably one or two dozen old families that run the western world.
Of course SSI, Medicare, and Medicaid are all Ponzi schemes, but the clueless left call them "paygo", only problem with that is that we who are working and paying the taxes to support those programs, are paying the money that is going to the current recipients, not paying into an account saving for our own future.
I think that was always the intended purpose of these programs. During Roosevelt's administration, leftists were placed throughout his administration and our government, (that's why Senator McCarthy was so successful for so long, he had a target rich environment), most of whom covered the administration's backside or propelled the socialist agenda forward, or both. McCarthy's inability to finish the job is why we are where we are today!

Ultimately, the only difference is one of perception but for now the people with the guns and the organization believe in it.
