Warren Buffett’s foolproof plan to wipe out the deficit

Warren Buffett says he could wipe out the deficit in five minutes.

It’s a simple solution, really. All we have to do, according to Buffett, is set a budget cap and if it’s violated, fire Congress. It’s the old’ “If you guys won’t do it, we’ll find someone who will” plan.

Don’t look now, Mr. Buffett, sir, but that’s what the Tea Party is all about. Yet you hate the Tea Party and love Obama.

Sure, it’s inconsistent. But he’s the world’s third richest and fifth glibbest man, so let’s not expect consistency.

  • If it's a "foolproof" plan, why hasn't Barry adopted it?

    Oh.

    Never mind.

Not foolproof in the sense that fools can't *break* it -- foolproof in the sense that fools can't *implement* it.

    • This is for the Championship, Ruben.

Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, T. Boone Pickens and Warren Buffet.

        • I'm sorry IL DOUCHE, Karma has nothing whatsoever to do with reality.
The answer is "Who has enough money to buy their way into the elite circles of ANY Marxist regime.

          • "Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, T. Boone Pickens and Warren Buffet."

Who are "Billionaires who've hedged their green on hair-brained eco-schemes... and lost, Alex" (er,uh, I mean, pink Floyd)?

  • I'm for firing Obama and a large part of Congress.... not from their jobs, I'm for firing them from a large cannon in the general direction of North Korea.

    • Firing them seems sooo.......civil. (even from a cannon) After the damage that Barry and the Kakistocrats have done to our Country, I can't print what I would like to do to ALL of them, without having the Secret Service at my door by noon.

    • Oh,OUCH!!!! That's how the Barbary Coast pirates and Imerates returned several of our early 18th century US diplomats!

  • Proof that being a complete philosophical and social idiot won't necessarily prevent you from becoming a billionaire.

  • Another self-declared oracle who knows it all because he has a big wad of cash. Ala Al Gore, Bill Gates, James Cameron, et al. Funny how money magically increases your IQ.

    • Its also funny how capturing regulators increases your wad of cash.

Buffet is smart enough to know the deficit is just the tip of the iceburg. Like greenspan, he's trying to save his legacy because its becoming increasingly clear he profited on the debt ponzi scheme and goverment bailouts all the way up. He wants us to think he's on "our side" when the SHTF and doesn't get targeted for a wealth tax (but he's OK with income taxes, he's made his already).

Sounds like the elites are getting scared. Wonder what they know? What I call "the singularity" must be getting closer.

  • But he's absolutely correct and it's what's needed. A business approach to government. I'm sure he's held the management of the companies he controls to the same types of standards. Of course it's like asking the company management team to vote for themselves to be fired.

    • Funny, that's what Herman Cain has been saying. Maybe it's time to start listening. Especially as he is RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.

  • I call 'vitriolic rhetoric' on Buffet for that "gun to the head" metaphor, and hereby fine him $100 billion. The Nebraska Tea Party is appointed to collect the fine.
