• Gruber is a product of academia, so he's used to the blind protection of tenure. He can babble all he likes and never face the consequences. That's why he can't function in the outside world - except Washington, of course. This episode - hell, it's a full series now - confirms a suspicion I have held for a long time. When you get a PHD, tucked inside the diploma is a little card that reads: "Congratulations! Your shit no longer stinks."

• I love Davis Webb, & this is another reason why. Gruber meant what he said, he said it often. He is only sorry that it leaked out to the media & won't go away.
