Welcome to winter! Second polar plunge dumps FIVE FEET of snow on Great Lakes, stranding drivers and shutting down highways as 49 states dip below freezing

  • One of my sons was offered a job in Rochester, NY, and the other one in Wisconsin. After this I doubt they'll very interested.

  • This is getting ridiculous. IT JUST KEEPS SNOWING. NONSTOP. I called it Armageddon two days ago so what do I call it now? Yesterday, I uncovered the windows on the SUV and drove to the grocery story and stocked up like some kind of survivalist. Then when I left the store I couldn't get the shopping cart to my car. I'm a grown-ass man! but couldn't push the cart through the snow and slush in the parking lot. Finally a woman, seeing my difficulties, came over to help and the two of us, one pushing and the other pulling, could just barely make the cart move. WTF?

Anyway, trust me, while she was helping me move my shopping cart, I kept an eye on her - I made sure she wasn't offering to help in order to filch my bottle of Drambuie. (That's how a survivalist stocks up.)

    • Let's pool our mental resources JP and design these suckers; 18" clip on skis for the wheels of the grocery cart. You do MI & IN and West, I'll do OH, KY & TN, and East NEast. Equal partners and I already have a great idea for a communications/PR type person.(We'd prolly have to give her a substantial raise from her current salary though)

  • Hence the change in vernacular. Please note, it is now CLIMATE CHANGE, a term specifically aimed at all those Grubers out there.

  • I see you're quoting Dr. Joesph Gobbles, the alinsky-ites have learned his lessons well. One can only hope they get to share his fate as well.

BREAKING Gore was asked to comment on the recent record low temperatures but unfortunately his tongue is stuck to a flagpole in Tennessee.

    Weather Channel Comment
There is a famous quotation that is suitable here, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Can anyone say, "Obama"? --Noel Mann, Ph.D. (in Environmental Science).

    Global Warming Quote
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary." --H.L. Mencken, [1918]

    • "BREAKING Gore was asked to comment on the recent record low temperatures but unfortunately his tongue is stuck to a flagpole in Tennessee."

      I'd bet that's for real.

  • Got up this morning and was able to enjoy Black Ice fest 2014. So many people impaled on the guardrails, I though Vlad the impaler had come to town. The State DOT was so concerned about the warming they figured they didn't have to lay down any salt after all the rain froze.

  • It was 7 in Chicagoland last night-seven f***ing degrees. We are in a 30 year cooling phase that will wipe out grain crops, etc-and these global warming morons are preparing for heat. The damage they are doing now will cost the lives of millions in the decades to come. Just sayin.
