• When the hell did congress do something that was not to their benefit?

• This decision to change the disclosure rules was quickly reversed. It's kind of satisfying to see how much traction alternate media can get on issues, and how quickly it happens. Posts like this one and hundreds of other across the Internet, all generating bipartisan rage from American voters, made them change their minds:

  • So once again the crooks in congress tried to sneak one past us, and got caught. But then as we all know, congressional ethics is an oxymoron.

  • My sense is that they are intent on getting some sort of work around passed- either by redefining what "disclosure" is to mean or to agree to enact something in an overtly partisan manner in order that only the other end of the spectrum gets outraged. Anything unified genuinely spooks them. I doubt their minds really got changed... and their collective record speaks more eloquently than I possibly can about the level of concern they have for what any of "us" think- including those who they've fooled into voting liberal.
