Why havent they caught those two escaped prisoners

• Greg Gutfeld said on O'Reilly that the 2 escapees were probably hiding out at MSNBC because nobody would find them there.

• I just knew Coumo was going to screw the pooch when he showed up at the prison. Rather then listening to the experts, he's letting his yes men run things, and the guys who escaped are long gone from NY State by now.

• It is sad to see this, but having been a 12 1/2 year veteran of corrections, (and that on the correct side of the bars, I might add) I know instinctively the frustration surrounding an escape your institution may be culpable for. It's a gut wrenching reality when we find out about these escapes and it's a satisfying relief when the coop flying felon comes back safely to his roost...usually to a higher level institution. If it can be resolved locally, so much the better, but when it becomes a political goat f**k, as in this case, things go from bad to worse very quickly and the big egoes just make things worse.

  • Did you read that part about the armed prison guards combing the woods from one direction while the state police, not informing anybody what they're doing, were combing the woods from the other direction? Talk about dangerous.

• This is vintage Andrew Cuomo and New York politics. If he isn't the stupidest governor in the country, he is very near the top.

• "Jurisdictional rivalry" has been going on as long as I can remember. A terrible crime happens, the local law calls in the state police to help out, they have more resources. The staties take over and leave the local cops in the dark.

  Then things get worse, as in this case, so the feds are called in to help, the FBI and US Marshalls service have even more resources. They then take over and the state and local cops get left out of the loop. It's all about egos and who gets to make the arrest. Which is total bullshit.

  It shouldn't matter which agency busts the criminal as long as they are off the street. But oh no, the tender widdle egos of those involved say to hell with the publics safety, we want to catch the criminal. So, information does not get shared, nobody talks to anybody else, the criminals are still on the loose, and the public be damned. The good citizens living in the area will be better off if they stay armed and keep a close lookout for these two murderers. Shoot first then inform all the loons, who are supposed to be competent law enforcement officers, that the escapees are going nowhere soon. Even better would be if a local cop or deputy sheriff did it, they could thumb their noses at the state and feds while telling them I told you so.

  • I have an axiom that I live by: don't challenge people on the subject of what they do for a living. Don't get in a fight with a professional boxer, don't debate how to fill out your tax return with an accountant at a cocktail party, don't ask the musicians hired to entertain the wedding reception if you can "sing one song with them." In this case, everybody involved is a cop but the people who really make their living finding fugitives are the U.S. Marshal Service. When I read in the link that Cuomo dismissed the U.S. Marshal from the tent meeting, I was aghast. This is what they do. Why wouldn't you want them involved?

    • Because Cuomo learned from his daddy, that when you screwed up, you keep everyone that can pin anything on you away.
      He screwed the pooch when he started trying to run the search, and he doesn't want anyone to know. Problem is, the FBI and US Marshall Service, should have seniority over him, and once they're called in, he should be quiet and watch.

• Micromanaged into the ground. Andy wants to be president one day. He's unable to let professionals do their job in order to find criminals. A perfect leftist. All the solutions, but none of the answers.
