Know who bugs the hell out of us? Dick “Buy My Book and Go To My Website” Morris.
He’s not really a conservative, just an opportunist. He’s not really a pundit, he’s a shill. No matter where he appears, the little weasel spends more time pumping his books and website than actually discussing the issues of the day. It’s like watching an infomercial. He does everything but say, “But wait! There’s more! Order in the next ten minutes and you’ll receive a second copy of my book absolutely free!”
Take this clip, for example. When radio host Peter Schiff tries to steer Morris into an in-depth conversation and away from blatant pumping of his new book, Morris reacts by hanging up.
And, sadly, he did it before he had a chance to say, “Go to my website, DickMorris.com.”
(Starting at about the 1:20 mark)
Schiff: How about not have student loans at all? That would be a lot better.
Morris: No. Because I think it’s appropriate for people to go to college and to be able to borrow their way there and…
Schiff: But, but, Dick, they could go to college a lot cheaper if there weren’t student loans. My father went to college here in Connecticut, the University of Connecticut. His parents had no money. He waited tables and was able to pay his tuition.
Morris: Peter, I’d like to talk about my book, which is Revolt, How To Defeat Obama and Repeal His Socialist Agenda. ‘Cause that’s really what I’m focused on.
Schiff: Right. But I think part of that socialist agenda is this perpetuating this educational bureaucracy through the use of student loans that jack up the cost of college and enslaves our kids into a lifetime of debt just to prop up an educational bureaucracy. So I think if you really want to defeat some of these socialist policies you might start with education.
Morris: You know what, Peter. You talk to yourself for the next fifteen minutes. That seems to be what you want to do. Bye-bye.(CLICK)

I love Schiff! I highly recommend his books to all of you, particularly "Crash Proof 2.0" and "How an Economy Grows and Why it Crashes". In my entire life, I have had fewer than ten times where I found a book that I thought was so insightful that I actually bought multiple copies to pass around to friends, or forced my wife to read. These two books make that list. Check your local library or just go buy a copy.
Dick Morris' books? Meh,. . . not so much.
hmm Crash Proof 2.0 does look interesting.. I'm gonna grab that..
I've been shifting my idle reading from RealClearPolitics to RealClearMarkets lately. I can't do a whole lot about politics, but i can definitely try to figure out what to do with scarily depreciating dollars
What's the name of that website again, Dick?
lol....
Morris: Peter, I’d like to talk about my book, which is Revolt, How To Defeat Obama and Repeal His Socialist Agenda. ‘Cause that’s really what I’m focused on.
He said it hmself. His focus is his book! He fave fair warning! The question is why do they keep offering him guest spots to hawk his worthless stuff?
Seriously when he comes on O'Reilly I sometimes just tune out.
I haven't cared for O'Reilly in a very long time. He was interesting when he was just a crazy guy that wasn't afraid to lob hardballs at famous people. I liked him when he yelled at Barney Frank and yells at other similarly absurd figures. But he is a two dimensional thinker and a two dimensional presenter . . . when he tries to be anything beyond a cartoon he loses all his appeal.
I can't say I'm a big Hannity fan either. He tries (bless his heart) and he seems like a really great guy . . . but I don't think he's firing on all cylinders.
Give me Boortz, Wilkow, Cain, Schiff and even Beck (about 75 to 80 percent of the time) over those two guys any day. And I'll be pretty happy.
I dont watch Hannity. I find him insufferable, even if I may agree with some of his viewpoints I actually dont know most of the people you listed there other than Beck and well Schiff because of this story as for O'Reilly I have been watching him as long as I have lived in this country so I don't know it is habit I guess...
I think the proper word is "pimping" rather than pumping his books. I too think that Morris is a prostitute (he gets paid for it). He is like that dirty player in hockey...glad he is not on the other team, but you are still not comfortable with him.
And by the way, Schiff is exactly right. Student loans inflate the cost of education and drive people into a lifetime of debt. I'm still paying 15 years later with no end in sight.
And the worst part of it was that even in Texas where I went to school, a good 80% of the professors are leftist. So I'm now in debt to my eyeballs paying back a loan the bulk of which went to pay exorbitant salaries to Marxists. Oh, the irony!
Clinton fired Morris because he was whoring around during the campaign. Oh the irony. Morris is nothing more than a self-serving opportunist who gets on whatever side he thinks he can garner the most benefit from.
Actually I don't think he fired him because of the whoring. He fired him for not sharing.
What kind of monster would want dibs on someone who'd find Morris attractive? Oh, yeah... we're talking about Clinton.
Peter Schiff is a prophet. Go back and watch his old guest show appearances. He is amazing!

It's scary how right he is. Especially when you consider how much worse, he says, it is going to get.
I thought I was the only one that thought this. How refreshing.
Him, Newt, Huckabee, Clinton, Clinton, Dobbs, I'm sure I'm leaving some out - they all give off the "huckster" vibe but Morris is the KING of ick!!!
Sometimes I find him intertaining and sometimes I find him amusing,
then other times he rattles my cage and other times he's hawking his next best seller and yet other times he irks the living sh*t out of me...he's a clown of many talents!
