Woodward says a “very senior” White House person warned me I’d “regret” what I’m doing

• Woodward is a big liberal so the thin skinned Obamunists see his mild criticism of The One as a betrayal. If you f*** with the Chicago gang, you'll wind up in a world of hurt. I don't see Woodward being physically attacked but I do see him covering mall openings in Peoria.

  • I don't know. Woodward is pretty untouchable. My guess is that we would be more likely to see him crowned the new "Media Czar" or something. Big fat paycheck, no known responsibilities, and all the free first-class travel he could wish for. Or found dead on the kitchen floor from 15 self-inflicted stab wounds in the back.

• Woodward is a lying asshole, but it's fun to watch him go to war against Obama. Now we get to watch two people try to outdo each other with lies and deceit. This morning the White House released the email exchange (to Politico) in which Woodward says he was threatened. Doesn't sound much like a threat to me. I think it's more interesting that the guy starts out apologizing for yelling at Woodward during a prior conversation. Anyway, here's the "threat":

  "But I do truly believe you should rethink your comment about saying saying that Potus asking for revenues is moving the goal post. I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim. The idea that the sequester was to force both sides to go back to try at a big or grand barain with a mix of entitlements and revenues (even if there were serious disagreements on composition) was part of the DNA of the thing from the start."

  Oooo, scary.

  • Bob will fight this, not because he has a handle on right and wrong, but because of his Big Freakin' Ego. That said, this particular mudfight is very entertaining.

    • It's better than Fight Night in Vegas.

  • This is interesting, but I won't be surprised if neither this guy or Woodward ever write any more less than total asskissing stories about the Premier.

    • I can only hope that these guys are getting enough attention that it brings the attention whores scuttling out like cockroaches! I am not sure how much actual good it would do, but I am just praying for an "emperor's new clothes" moment. The media may never grow any brain cells and give up their libtard views, but at LEAST we can hope they stop the hero worship.

• The White House says they were just joshing him...

• I can see 'ol Bob having an accident just like the ones that happen unexpectedly to Russian journalists critical of their bully regieme. Shot mysteriously on the way home from the market or a walk in the park. And after a little faux sympathy for the victim, the O regieme would use the news as further evidence more gun control was needed.

• I do believe Mr. Woodward has done something to annoy the Chicago Thug. Lets see if he has a sudden heart condition while walking home from the bar like Andrew Breitbart did.

• I wonder if Bob will soon be committing suicide. You know, something like shooting himself in the head 6 times with a 9mm or probably a mysterious car accident. If he is lucky he will just trip and fall and break both his kneecaps "unexpectedly."

• Obama makes Nixon look like an honest man.

  • Nixon's biggest mistake was'nt Watergate. That may have been his dumbest, but taking us off the gold standard & creating the EPA have proven to be very damaging to the nation.

  • On the flip side, do you know of someone that makes Obama look honest?

      Um, ... Uh, ... Hmmmmm, ... What was the name of the character John Lovitz did on SNL? The one that kept claiming Morgan Fairchild was his wife?
      That's as close as I can come.

        • Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar. Remember because that was around the time SNL lost me for good, last character I really liked and can name off the top of my head.

• Bobby, you want to go down in history again, start digging into the Obama administration. The closet is to full to fit all the skeletons. You have name recognition and power with the liberal media, be a man, do your job by being a real journalist, and help this country out.

  I'm not holding my breath of course. Those dinner parties, elbow rubbing, and chardonnay drinking tend to have an affect on people.

  • Maybe if Woodward would actually pursue this, he could partially atone for the damage that he caused our country. Nixon was a scapegoat. He did crappy things, but he didn't do anything crappier than any other president in the modern era. To destroy one man for doing what everyone before him (and many AFTER him) have done was just completely unfair. Regardless, Woodward exposed shenanigans, and got them out in the open. So how can he and his ilk justify NOT reporting on this actual THUG who is in office today?
