World’s largest solar plant applying for federal grant to pay off federal loan. Google owns part of this, they should pay it off not the taxpayers or ratepayers. Talk about a screw-job, this makes Solyndra look like a kid stealing a candy bar.
The Ivanpah solar electric generating plant is owned by Google and renewable energy giant NRG, which are responsible for paying off their federal loan. If approved by the U.S. Treasury, the two corporations will not use their own money, but taxpayer cash to pay off 30 percent of the cost of their plant, but taxpayers will receive none of the millions in revenues the plant will generate over the next 30 years.
Hopefully come January this shit will stop.

This story is an anger maker. You can't be an American and not fume reading about those leftwing assholes at Google coming back to the Federal government for more taxpayer money just because their stupid investment didn't work out. In the ongoing war/rivalry between Google, Microsoft, and Apple, I've generally sided with Google. I'm changing sides right now. To hell with Google.
Characteristic of any Democrat idea: costly, inefficient, and with bad unintended consequences. Beside the extra robbing of the treasury proposed in the title above, here are some more gems from this green energy wonder:

A NRG spokesman blamed the weather, saying the sun didn't shine as often as years of studies predicted. However by the four-year mark, NRG has "every confidence that the plant will function as anticipated for the life of the facility,"according to the company."
