Seems to me there should be aline of people coming in to fix this problem. Free, or maybe just the cost of materials. And more fines? If he Can' t afford the repairs, he can't pay the fines. Totally wrong.

Everyday we loose more of the greatest generation, the sad part is there will soon be no one to tell what really happened and the distorted view of history rewritten by the socialists will be taught in the future. This guy was cool beyond cool...May he rest in peace that he so richly earned. And Thank God for his service and for men like him.
Amazing story -- and not to be a cynic or downer or anything -- I couldn't help but notice the story did mention this but kind of glossed it over -- when he flew under the Eiffel Tower, he was following the German who did it FIRST!

The German fighter pilots were very good aviators. Their biggest problem was that there weren't enough of them and they became harder to replace. Same applied to the U Boat and armor officers and crews.
Hitler wasted a generation of courageous young men from lots of countries.
From what I'm reading in an exhaustive history of the air war, the reason so many of the German pilots got so good is that they didn't rotate them out after a certain number of missions. Their training was nowhere near as good as our guys, so many of them didn't last long. If they lasted long enough to learn to fly, they just kept on flying. The Germans just stayed until they died, or were severely injured.
That's why there were numerous German pilots with over 100 confirmed kills, while the record for American pilots was 28.

Yes, the general/flag ranks are being forced to be political, but, IMHO, today's "groundpounders", "grunts", "squids", "swabbies", NCOs, etc. are as good as they always were, if not better.
