Yale Law School wants to include Koran as law book

Yale Law School wants to include Koran as law book. Just a guess: the law school having received a $10 million donation from a Saudi businessman may have something to do with this.

  • Actually, the Koran IS a legal book. Not 1 I adhere to or recognize as legit, but many people do adhere to it's teachings, & that is the biggest threat to world security today. People need to understand this in order to understand what we are up against.

  • The Left’s war on due process is not confined to college campuses. It proceeds apace in unbridled asset forfeiture, eminent domain abuse, “hate” speech laws, lawfare against people embracing politically incorrect views (e.g., see Miss Puerto Rico’s recent comments against Islamofascism), the immense transfer of wealth designed into Obamacare, any of Obama’s numerous extra-Constitutional executive orders, and a hundred other policies and practices that amount to wholesale abandonment of due process as described in the nation’s founding documents. Remember: Precious Leader vowed a fundamental transformation of the country. And you voted for him, twice, America. These are the logical consequences of your actions. Feel free to admire all the fine young cannibals as they implement your wishes. It’s one of the last freedoms you’ll ever enjoy.

Who would have thought it’d ever come to this? Why, anyone who could be bothered to turn off Dancing With The Stars take the trouble to look, anytime within the last 40 years. From the 7 December 2015 National Review.

    • If you need another reason to not vote for Rubio, here it is.
      FTA:
In the Senate, meanwhile, presidential candidate Marco Rubio of Florida, Judiciary Committee chairman Charles Grassley of Iowa, and rising star Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire have teamed with Democratic demagogues Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Claire McCaskill of Missouri in co-sponsoring a bill that would make matters even worse.

  • Might as well have a comic book as a study guide, I might suggest Daffy Duck for those Yale Skrew Graduates...Who the hell is gonna hire these morons when they spend more time studying bullshit and diversity rather than the law, they won't even be qualified to chase ambulances....

  • This crap keeps up, there's going to be a shitload of unemployed Yale Graduates, because what company will want to hire snowflakes like this?

  • say what you want about mr. trump but he's right about one thing---this country is being led by IDIOTS---especially those that run "higher" education

  • In a pre law class we studied the Code of Hammurabi, the First Testament (the Law Books), and other laws and codes from throughout history. I found them fascinating. If this is about learning what came before or what there is now as in comparison to what we have in this country for historical reference and knowledge, etc. I got no problem with that. If it is as someone stated about learning international law so people can practice law effectively in the Middle East or other Islamic countries in Africa or Asia... whatevs...

If it is a class about how to supplant the U.S. Constitution, then I got a problem with that.

    • Those things you studied are precursors to what we have now. The Koran is not the precursor to anything, having contributed precisely zero to the legal systems of the modern civilized world.

      • True.

However it is a fascinating thing to study how a religion used by humans in this way (a political/governmental entity) is a bad idea and hence why the US was right in getting rid of the English King and why England was in such turmoil for so long, but this time studying a non-western religion and how it destroys everything in its path. At least Christians were willing to die to ensure proper management of the proper Faith, whereas so called "good" and "moderate" Muslims are not willing to die to ensure proper management of the so called peaceful religion they follow.

Something tells me however that is not how it is going to be studied there...

  • The only law the needs to be included at Yale is the US Constutuon and the laws of this nation. Shit laws be damned.

Will the women studies at Yale get upset by this hair brained idea? Goat laws are very stringent toward women. According to goat laws it's okay to beat a woman. Raping a woman is nearly impossible to prove. Now NAGs speak up or are you only worried about busting Trump and Cruz's nuts?

  • Doing, saying, and even receiving (which is in essence, doing) certain things have consequences and here we have a perfect example of $10 million worth of quid pre quo!

  • If Yale wants to offer an international law class, or even a Sharia law class for those wishing to study in the U.S. and then practice in the Middle East or England, great.

Or if you want to waste your tuition dollars studying a system that will never be the system of the United States, waste away. But understand, Sharia law has NO PLACE in the United States.
