Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and those fun-loving Iranian mullahs have re-introduced the Fairness Doctrine in Iran by blocking access to several websites promoting reformist presidential candidate Mohammed Khatami.
Reformists say the move is an attempt by the powerful hard-liners to silence Khatami and weaken his challenge to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the upcoming elections.
Khatami, who tried to open dialogue with the West during his eight years as president, believes his sites are being censored because his candidacy poses a serious threat to the increasingly unpopular Ahmadinejad.
“Censorship? That’s nonsense,” a spokesman for the mullahs said. “We’re just trying to assure that a wide variety of approved voices are heard. And, of course, that divisive moderate voices aren’t heard.”

I think it should be the MULLAH not MULLAHS. There is only one cleric left in a high position of power now. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei remains Shah of Iran. The other major power bases are:
Revolutionary Guards (Pasdaran): Basically, the Iranian mafia. Most are ex-criminals (drug dealers) who led many organised crime organisations illegal in Pahlavi's time and EVEN Khomeini's, or builders and developers. Khamenei has tended to legalise these people's powers more now (although they were used in the Iran Iraq war). Certainly not Mullahs.
Basiji: ditto with above.
President "Dr" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Occupations included blacksmith, engineer, country and western singer, "revolutionary poet", lecturer (although his postgrad qualifications are doubted). He also has close links to the building industry in Iran and says himself - although most deny it as true - that he was a war hero in the Iran Iraq war. Again, not a sign of any religious studies or background.
Iran has more or less become a censored military dictatorship lead by the mafia army who are enemies of the official army. It will lead to civil war when the official army will side with the people. Iran is perhaps the only country in the world that has two rival sets of police and armed forces that both hate each and are both considered legal by the government. That can only lead to civil war.

That guy is an idiot... He just totally contradicted his claim of not censoring by saying that they won't allow unapproved/moderate voices to be heard...
