Iran moves into the 13th century: Ahmadinejad allies charged with sorcery

Here’s more proof – as if you really needed any – that Iran is home to more lunatics per capita than any other nation on the face of the earth.

This is one of those stories that sounds like it originated at The Onion, but it’s real.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad maintains is grip on power, but not on reality

The Guardian UK has the details:

Close allies of Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being “magicians” and invoking djinns (spirits).

Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as “a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds”.

The arrests come amid a growing rift between Ahmadinejad and Khamenei which has prompted several MPs to call for the president to be impeached.

These people have the ability to make nuclear weapons and they believe in genies. These two facts do not compute.

Don’t you hate it when you agree with an Iranian madman, Part II: Ahmadinejad sees embarrassing end for Obama

This is the second time in two weeks that we’ve found ourselves agreeing with an Iranian madman about President Obama.

We hope this isn’t the beginning of a trend, but it is the second time in two weeks that we’ve found ourselves agreeing with an Iranian madman. Last week is was Ayatollah Khamenei, this week it’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

mahmoud-ahmadinejad
Don't you hate it when a madman makes more sense than your president?

Iran’s FarsNews has the details:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blasted the US administration for its deceitful policies, and warned that US President Barack Obama will have to face an end far more embarrassing than what his predecessor, George W. Bush, encountered.

… Stating his interpretation of the Obama policy, Ahmadinejad said that the difference between Bush and Obama lies in the fact that the current US president uses force and at the same time deception and conspiracy unlike Bush who clearly resorted to weapon and military action to save the capitalistic system.

As regards the future of the US administration, the Iranian president stated, “I believe that he (Bush) left the scene of politics with shame, but his successor (Obama) will have to leave the scene of politics with much more shame because of his resort to both force and deception.”

We’re still awaiting Ahmadinejad’s comments on Obama’s foreign policy.

Hillary says, “Hey, Mahmoud, if you like those Egyptian protests so much, how about having some in Teheran.”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton actually spoke up against an enemy of the United States. Yeah, the Hillary Clinton. She actually accused Iran and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of hypocrisy.

Well, this is odd. This is something you don’t see very often.

Will wonders never cease?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gets Ike Turnered by his own peeps

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not a physically imposing man. In fact, he’s really not much of a man at all. That’s why we weren’t all that surprised when Wikileaks revealed that the Iranian leader had been smacked up the side of the head by a guy named Mohammed Ali Jafari.

mohammed-ali-jafari
In the blue corner, fighting out of Tehran, is Mohammed Ali Jafari.

Yeah, you read that right, the guy’s name is Mohammed Ali. File that under weirdly appropriate.

New York Daily News has the blow-by-blow:

The February 2010 cable, classified secret and puckishly headlined, “He Who Got Slapped,” quotes an intelligence source recounting a contentious meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

The Iranian bigs were trying to figure out what to do in the wake of Tehran’s explosive pro-democracy street protests of 2009.

“Ahmadinejad claimed that ‘people feel suffocated,’ and mused that to defuse the situation it may be necessary to allow more personal and social freedoms, including more freedom of the press,” the cable says.

It continues, “Ahmadinejad’s statements infuriated Revolutionary Guard Chief of Staff Mohammed Ali Jafari, who exclaimed ‘You are wrong! [In fact] it is YOU who created this mess! And now you say give more freedom to the press?!’

“Source said that Jafari then slapped Ahmadinejad in the face, causing an uproar.”

Now a lesser despot might have slinked off to lick his wounds in private or, rather, let his favorite goat do that for him. But not our man Mahmoud.

The five foot four inch piker picked himself up. He dusted himself off. And, as soon as the opportunity presented itself, he promptly bitch slapped Barack Obama. Over and over and over again.

Damn, it feels good to be the dictator.

Is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a secret IHateTheMedia.com fan?

That’s right, someone in Iran, home of the world’s strictest Muslim theocracy, is reading IHateTheMedia.com. We were even more surprised to see that he had landed on our “Fox News Anchor Babes In Short Skirts” story.

We have a reader in Iran. We don’t know exactly who he, but we have our suspicions.

We know this thanks to a website called StatCounter.com that provides a set of analytical tools that allow website owners to take a closer look their viewers. We can see things like total page views, unique page views, most popular pages, etc.

One of our favorite tools is the “Recent Visitor Map.” It shows the city and country of each of your website’s last 500 visitors, what IHTM page they landed on and their referring URLs.

ahmadinejads-wife
If this were your wife, you'd be Googling "Hot Fox News Babes," too

So Friday at 10:39 p.m., just before calling it a night, we checked the Recent Visitor Map. The image at the top of this story is a cropped screen capture of that map. As you might expect, most of our visitors came from the United States, but others came from Canada, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, India, China, The Phillipines, and oddly enough, Iran.

That’s right, someone in Iran, home of the world’s strictest Muslim theocracy, is reading IHateTheMedia.com.

We assumed that visitor would be reading one of our stories about Muslims (sorry for the stereotype, but our experience has been that most of our hits from Muslim countries land on stories involving Muslims).

Anyway, we were surprised to see that the Iranian visitor was located in Tehran. We were even more surprised to see that he had landed on our “Fox News Anchor Babes In Short Skirts” story that we did about two years ago. And then we got the biggest surprise of all. This reader found IHateTheMedia.com by doing a Google search for “lovely older black hot ladies.”

Now we don’t care what this Iranian’s personal proclivities may be. To each his own. Traffic is traffic, so we certainly welcome visitors from all around the world.

And in that spirit we say, “Welcome, Mahmoud.” Your secret is safe with us.

Top ten unbelievable things Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes

What does Ahmadinejad believe? IHateTheMedia.com’s editor sat down for an in-depth interview with the Iranian leader and this is what he told us:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently gave a speech outlining his firm decision to govern his nation by guidance from a collection of mistruths, lies, distortions and urban legends. Fortunately, he gave this speech at the United Nations where they’ve been doing that for years.

But what else does Ahmadinejad believe? IHateTheMedia.com’s editor sat down for an in-depth interview with the Iranian leader and this is what he told us:

10. Islam specifically bans trick-or-treating because of shards of glass and razor blades have been implanted in candy by evil people, who are probaby Jewish.

9. While parking with his girlfriend, Ahmadinejad heard the news that a political prisoner who had a hook for a hand escaped from a nearby re-education facility. He immediately left the area and when he got home, he found a hook lodged in the car’s door handle!

8. Captain Kangaroo was a trained Marine sniper. He was also probably Jewish.

7. A Nigerian prince has $2 million that he wants Ahmadinejad to hold onto. Damn sanctions make it impossible for him to claim his cash.

6. Barack Obama was born in the United States

Oliver Stone hits the leftist trifecta, defends Ahmadinejad, Stalin and Hitler

Not content with being known as a Hollywood eccentric, director Oliver Stone has given up all pretense of normality and moved directly into lunatic territory.

Not content with being known as a Hollywood eccentric, director Oliver Stone has given up all pretense of normality and moved directly into lunatic territory.

NewsMax has the dictatorial details:

Director Oliver Stone belittled the Holocaust during a shocking interview with the Sunday Times today, claiming that America’s focus on the Jewish massacre was a product of the “Jewish domination of the media.”

The director also defended Hitler and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and railed against the “powerful lobby” of Jews in America.

Stone said that his upcoming Showtime documentary series for “Secret History of America,” seeks to put Hitler and Communist dictator Joseph Stalin “in context.”

Yes, of course, Hitler was merely misunderstood. And in Stone’s mind, it’s always Springtime for Hitler.

Ahmadinejad calls Obama a “cowboy” (Hey, wasn’t that supposed to be Bush?)

Democrats used “cowboy” as the ultimate insult to George Bush. Now – gasp – Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has used the same word to insult Barack Obama.

November, 2012. Let's all sing "Happy Trails" to Barack Obama.

Democrats used “cowboy” as the ultimate insult to George Bush. Now – gasp – Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has used the same word to insult Barack Obama.

The Associated Press has this news round-up:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad derided Obama on Wednesday, depicting him as an ineffective leader influenced by Israel to target Iran more aggressively.

“American materialist politicians, whenever they are beaten by logic, immediately resort to their weapons like cowboys,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech before a crowd of several thousand in northwestern Iran.

“Mr. Obama, you are a newcomer (to politics). Wait until your sweat dries and get some experience. Be careful not to read just any paper put in front of you or repeat any statement recommended,” Ahmadinejad said in the speech, aired live on state TV.

Something may have been lost in the translation, but we think Ahmadinejad is saying, “Stop watching MSNBC, Buckeroo. Give Fox a try.”

U.N. welcomes Ahmadinejad, Israeli prime minister asks “Have you no shame?”

The United Nations welcomes Ahmadinejad, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu asks those who did not walk out on the Holocaust denier, “Have you no shame?”

Benjamin Netanyahu asks the question any reasonable person would ask.

“The man who called the Holocaust a lie spoke at this podium. To those who refused to come and to those who left in protest, I commend you. You stood up for moral clarity and you brought honor to your countries. But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere — have you no shame? Have you no decency?”

Sadly, the answer seems crystal clear.

Obama goes all hardass at UN, doesn’t invite Ahmadinejad to his tea party

Well, now this will teach those pesky Iranians that we mean business. This must be what the Obama administration means by “tough sanctions.”

No tea for you, Mahmoud.
No tea for you, Mahmoud.

Well, now this will teach those pesky Iranians that we mean business. This must be what the Obama administration means by “tough sanctions.”

According to the Jerusalem Post:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be unlikely to receive an invitation to a reception US President Barack Obama will host in New York later this month, the White House said Thursday.

The reception for world leaders will take place during the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said he doubts that Ahmadinejad will be invited because “Iran is failing to live up to its international obligations.”

Ahmadinejad, ever the party animal, said, “Who needs Obama’s tea party? I’ll be at the Yankee game that night, throwing kisses at sexy Bronx Bomber shortstop Derek Jeter. Hubba, hubba.”

Obama thinks Ahmadinejad is quite a kidder, doesn’t take his demand for an apology seriously

President Obama said Friday that he doesn’t take Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s demand for an apology seriously after the Iranian president accused him of interfering in the country’s affairs.

President Obama reacts to another Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gutbuster
President Obama reacts to another Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gutbuster

We’ve been laughing so damn hard we can’t catch our breath. Give us just a sec. OK, OK, OK, we think we can continue with this story now.

Fox News reports, “President Obama said Friday that he doesn’t take Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s demand for an apology seriously after the Iranian president accused him of interfering in the country’s affairs.

“’I don’t take Mr. Ahmadinejad’s statements seriously about apologies, especially given the fact that the United States has gone out of its way not to interfere with the election process in Iran and I’m really not concerned about Mr. Ahmadinejad apologizing to me,’ Obama said in a joint White House appearance with German Chancellor Angela Merkel after they conferred privately.”

And who can blame the President? That Mahmoud is such a well-known kidder. Those weren’t protests in Iran, they were laugh riots. He’s like an Iranian Shecky Greene. The Henny Youngman of the Middle East. You just can’t take the guy seriously.

“I just flew in from Tehran and, boy, are my arms tired.”

Be careful what you wish for: Introducing the wife of Iranian “reform” candidate Mousavi

Zahra Rahnavard, wife of Iranian “reformist” candidate Hossein Mousavi, is often referred to as an agent of change. But this photo of Zahra stomping on homemade flags of Great Britain, the United States and Israel makes you wonder what kind of change they’re talking about.

Zahra Rahnavard, wife of Iranian “reformist” candidate Hossein Mousavi, is often referred to as an agent of change. But this photo of Zahra stomping on homemade flags of Great Britain, the United States and Israel makes you wonder what kind of change they’re talking about.

CreepingSharia.com quotes Zahra as saying, “I and my husband are mujahids to the last drop of our blood – fighting side by side with the Muslims of the world for the sake of Islam and the Qur’an, and in confrontation of kufir and shirk embodied by the US, western imperialism and fellow travellers. My ambition is to see all Muslims rise on those lines until the day arrives when the world is transformed into an Islamic garden of faith, justice, and equality. They see it far away and we see it nearby.

We don’t often agree with President Obama here at IHateTheMedia.com, but he may have been right on when he said there wasn’t much difference between Achmadinejad and Mousavi. At least there doesn’t appear to be much difference between Achmadinejad and Mousavi’s wife.

So like your mother always said, “Be careful what you wish for, you stinking little imperialist, Zionist pig.”

Ahmadinejad says, “Circumstances Changing Rapidly in Our Favor”

Our enemies seem to love President Obama’s “engagement” efforts. That can’t be a good sign.

Here’s how CNSNews.com reports it:

At a joint press conference with Syrian President Bashar Assad last Tuesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad boasted that “those who one day called Iran and Syria part of the axis of evil now want to develop relations with Iran and Syria.”

“Circumstances are changing rapidly in our favor,” Arab media quoted him as saying. “We are on the road to victory.”

President Obama better start some of that smilin’, fist pumpin’ diplomacy in Iran. After all, it worked so well in Venezuela.

Ahmadinejad adopts Obama’s “Yes We Can” campaign slogan

Pixie-ish Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad leads supporters in a "Yes We Can" chant
Pixie-ish Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad leads supporters in a "Yes We Can" chant

You can’t make this stuff up. Drudge reports that Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has decided to use Barack Obama’s “Yes We Can” slogan in his next presidential campaign.

Who knew Ahmadinejad was such a big fan of American political campaigns?

IHateTheMedia.com has discovered that Ahmadinejad’s campaign staff also looked into adapting slogans from several other American presidential campaigns before going with “Yes We Can.”

They considered using George Bush’s “Compassionate Conservatism” but thought the compassionate part might be a tough sell.

They thought about adapting Bill Clinton’s slogan but finally decided that “Building a bridge to the 13th century” wasn’t quite as catchy as “Building a bridge to the 21st century.”

Ronald Reagan said, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” Ahmadinejad discovered that “Are you better off now than you were four hundred years ago?” didn’t test well in focus groups.

In 1960 Barry Goldwater’s slogan was “In Your Heart You Know He’s Right.” Ahmadinejad decided that “In Your Heart You Know He’s Nuts” was just too damn honest.

In the end, Ahmadinejad decided he wanted to be just like Obama so they went with the popular “Yes We Can.”

In other news, the Iranian leader announced that if Iran ever developed an auto industry, he would immediately nationalize it.

Ahmadinejad introduces Iranian Fairness Doctrine

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and those fun-loving Iranian mullahs have re-introduced the Fairness Doctrine in Iran by blocking access to several websites promoting reformist presidential candidate Mohammed Khatami.

Reformists say the move is an attempt by the powerful hard-liners to silence Khatami and weaken his challenge to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the upcoming elections.

Khatami, who tried to open dialogue with the West during his eight years as president, believes his sites are being censored because his candidacy poses a serious threat to the increasingly unpopular Ahmadinejad.

“Censorship? That’s nonsense,” a spokesman for the mullahs said. “We’re just trying to assure that a wide variety of approved voices are heard. And, of course, that divisive moderate voices aren’t heard.”

Ahmadinejad wants change he can believe in

Ahmadinejad

Unfortunately, the change the Iranian leader wants is a change in U.S. policy.

Last week, Obama did as he said he would do and extended an olive branch to Iran with no pre-conditions. But Iran’s leaders made it clear they have no interest in talking to Obama unless we change our policies.

Just as conservatives have warned for years, Obama’s offer was misinterpreted by the extremist Islamic government. They said Obama’s willingness to reach out to Ahmadinejad “means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed.”

How is this possible? We’re we told that all our enemies would magically become our friends the moment Obama was elected?

We just feel so used.
