If someone wanted to bet that Al Franklin was the craziest politician from the Land of 10,000 Lakes we would have called it a safe bet, but that was before we saw this intellectually and bias challenged individual.
As difficult as it must be to be on the same show with Ed Schultz and yet state the most ridiculous person on the show, Rep Keith Ellison pulls it off.
Please note that we do not consider Keith Ellison an extreme Muslim. Just a rather predicable and somewhat boring one.

Visiting MN right now for pleasure and business. Bad vibe in this Land o' 10,000 Lakes, one fish and Keith Ellison. Generally, Minnesotans are just plain too liberal and, curiously, there are too many anti-American types here for how good life is. Oh, the irony: Keith Ellison crashes a presser the other day in St. Paul, all up-in-the-face about a Tea Party button and poster looking "Big Brother-ish" and anti-American while posters are plastered all over the light poles near the campus of McAlester College promoting an author's presentation of "Ecology and Socialism" and why we need Socialism to save humanity and the planet from the certain doom Capitalism is fostering. More irony: the posters encourage people to go right down to May Day Bookstore and purchase this communist's book. Fools. If oil were ever to be discovered under MN, they'd be ashamed.
Ruben, you are not wrong, but if you head outstate, away from the TwinCities, you will find fairly conservative folks. But there is a large part of libs in MN who don't understand who has taken over the DNC, they don't know how radical they are, & what their plans are. They are generally older folks who do work their ass off & are usually too busy to really follow political news beyond the paper & the local news, with an hour of cable news thrown in every couple of days. That said, you did say you were around McAlister College, which explains it. Nice area, up around Snelling Ave., not far from Highland National Golf Course, in 1 of the few parts of St.Paul I would consider living in. But there are too many progressive libs in that area for my liking.

Amy "Kook" Klobochar is no gem either. Worst, absolutely the worst Hennepin County (Minneapolis) attorney ever, in a long line of horrible Hennepin county attorneys. Hennepin County, the crooks paradise.
Then the people "Up Nort" keep electing James Oberstar after which he immediately craps all over them.

A personal friend of mine is running against Ellison in the current race. Joel Demos is a level headed conservative. He is not a part of the political establishment. Those of you in the MN 5th district be sure to get out and vote for Joel!
