I just saw a trailer for a movie called "Bullet to the Head." Are we really going to blame the guns? Anyone ever watched a Quinton Tarantino movie? Not only violent and bloody to the extreme, but blood shooting out of wounds (it doesn't really do that) and every thing is slow motion to enhance the effects. Guns aren't the problem. And Hollyweird is as responsible as anyone for grooming crazies to do what they do.

The other night I sat in a hotel lobby bar where the TV was running Piers Morgan's show. As I ordered a beer I also fairly loudly asked that the channel be changed. A woman next to me asked me "Oh, so you like guns?". To which, I replied, " Yeah, I love them." That began a conversation where I discovered early on that she is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at DePaul University. Not ever one to shy away from a debate, I proceeded to eviscerate her entire world view. I don't believe I changed her mind about anything since she apparently gave up critical thinking decades ago or never learned how to think independently in the first place. She was only capable of regurgitating media talking points with no context or information to support her views.
An example of the exchange at the beginning:
Me: "I think BHO is the worst president since Wilson and here's why"...insert the usual outrages.
Her: Oh, you're a racist.
It was game on front there.
The best part for me was when she was told me that her grandparents we're from Mexico and came her legally but she fully supports amnesty for "undocumented workers". I then asked how she reconciled that with the Mexican Constitution that prevents foreign born citizens from even voting or the violence taken against illegals crossing into Mexico's southern border. Her response: "We have blonde and blue eyed Mexicans because their ancestors came from Germany?"
Now I ask you, how the Hell do you intellectually defeat (totally defeat) a political ideology whose adherents are so effing blindly ignorant and stupid yet occupy virtually all administrative positions within academia, thereby creating millions more idiots? I may have a won a battle but the war is never ending.
Bottom line, you can't debate with these types. As you say, they are loaded with non-contextual, media driven, BS talking points that do nothing but stir up emotion, and effectively push intelligent discussion into a corner.
PM kept hammering him about the AR15 assault rifle, asking why does a law abiding citizen NEED one of these. Shapiro's answer was exactly correct, which is to say that we need to defend ourselves from tyranny.
What frustrates me is why can't the discussion go to CCW laws? PM made one side comment in this video about ALL movie goers being armed implying that if someone came into a theater to start shooting that it would be bullets flying all directions. That kind of scenario totally ignores one very important fact... mass murderers, knowing that ALL movie goers are likely to be armed, WON'T EVEN ATTEMPT AN ATTACK BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY WILL MEET DEADLY RESISTANCE!
Bullets flying all directions is hardly accurate. Rather several converging on one target in rapid fashion from a few different directions. Yeah, the morgan is a whistle.
Exactly, but the PM types want that picture of bullets flying everywhere. Truth is, even with the latest steep ramping up of gun sales, in a theater scenario like we're discussing here, the % actually carrying would be nothing close to what PM is trying to present.
Begs the question - did anybody see anything on the news about the San Antonio shooting, where an off duty, female, deputy shot one of these crazies? The only place you'll see that kind of story is on the internet, oh and perhaps a one day report on local stations... they can hardly ignore it, but then it dies because it doesn't fit the msm agenda.

Of course I live in San Antonio, so we heard about it for days right up to the Deputy receiving an award for her actions. Nationally? no so much. No one was killed, the shooting was an overflow of what was essentially a domestic issue, so the MSM couldn't use it to scare people.
In the Newtown and Aurora cases as well as the other massacres that are brought up, the cowards traveled past other target rich environs to get to guaranteed gun free zones. Concealed carry protects! Open carry enhances that protection, but concealed carry is the win. When the bad guys can't tell who or how many but KNOW some probably are ready to pop em, their instinct to live keeps them quiet. How many mass shootings do we hear about in places where the carry laws are quite open? Not off duty cops or security guards, but regular citizens. That guy that didn't shoot at the mall, he was a regular joe, right? Anyway, even if they do happen, we don't hear about em without searching for that news. It doesn't fit the agenda of the agit-prop media arm of our government.
As we have so often seen the massacres are good for the left and their agenda.
When the gun laws were loosened here in Florida the number of car jackings virtually went to zero overnight. When I first moved here they were a very frequent occurrence especially in South Florida. So much so that the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinal used to run articles about how to protect yourself (less a gun) from a car jacking. One way they said to protect yourself was to run traffic lights so you would not be immobile on the city streets. That is a tactic only a brain dead liberal could get behind.
Today a would be car jacker would be playing Russian roulette.

The hypocrisy is what frustrates me. People like PM invoke the children when talking about gun grabbing but they ignore the unseen, which is the thousands who are SAVED or never assaulted in the first place because of the presence of guns. They will never acknowledge that truth, of course, because it destroys their own case.
I only wish Shapiro stated that the Kathy Giffords shooter used a handgun as Morgan brought up Mark Kelly, who has allowed himself to become a useful idiot.
I wish Shapiro would have corrected him on the Newton shooter, the "assault rifle" was found in the trunk of the car, and was not actually used in the shooting spree. He used 2 hand guns and multiple clips.
The jury is still out on the AR in the trunk. I think he used hand guns but I can't prove it after the government threw a lot of dust in the air and confused the issue as it always does.
Not to be picky but they are magazines not clips. It has become a massive pet peeve of mine when some anti-gun proponent displays his or her utter ignorance of the very thing they want to ban. Like little kids trying to make the scary monster-thing go away. Of course, liberalism is adult onset infantilism.
After a closer look at the video of the guy jacking the long gun in the trunk, it is apparent that whatever it was, it was NOT an AR15 or one of the many duplicates. The guy handling it pulls an actuator on the right side of the receiver. There is no actuator on the right side of an AR15 type.
Another issue though, didn't the medical examiner say the victims all were shot with high power rifle rounds?
I find it hard to believe that shooting with high power rifle rounds at that range, there would be a round in the bodies to retrieve. More likely they would have passed through, unless he used silvertip or hollowpoints.

I believe the other gunman used lanza as a patsy. The thing about a conspiracy is the likelihood that it will get exposed rises exponentially with each additional participant. When the government is disinforming - big difference from misinforming - it points to some complicity they want covered up. I do not discount the possibility of our rat bags being involved in the JFK assassination, and I certainly don't discount anyone in this current administration would conduct operations such as what I'm suggesting.

The ONLY reason they're not screaming about handguns is that they have a different demon to vilify. Once they get their way on rifles, they will return to their war on handguns. It has been their primary target for decades.
Most states with restrictive gun laws have much more restrictive laws where handguns are concerned. NJ for example prohibits the purchase of more than one handgun at a time, and there is a waiting period between issuing a new handgun permit if you already have one. Each handgun requires a separate permit.
And how many murders have been committed with Saturday Night Specials in that period? Were ANY of those guns registered? Did the owners have a permit. or evidence of any gun safety training? Hell, could they even document the guns were even sold legally? I'm thinking the answer to all of those questions is no. So how will another gun law change anything?

Another point that gun rights advocates like Shapiro don't make: lefties want a TOTAL ban on ALL guns. And the sick part is that within the left's hardest core demographic, the Bill Ayers types, there is an evil component that truly doesn't care about the mass murders, except as might serve their evil purposes. They are like vultures, constantly scanning the landscape for another mass murder to jump on with emotion, fueling passionate hype about guns and the need for more control, asking what seem to be no-brainer questions like "why does anybody need an AR15?" when all the while their real motive is a total ban, which will give them total control, allowing them to become the mass murderers.
That in a nutshell is the agenda.

1. We know you hate guns, & you want to ban them.
2. Get 288 members of the House to vote for a gun ban
3. Get 67 Senators to vote for a gun ban
4. Get 38 States to go along with your proposed gun ban.
5. You then would have the 28th Amendment, overturning the 2nd Amendment.
...until then, you can shut your effing mouth.
