So all that commotion from Democrat politicians about racist white people and all those threats to prosecute? Never mind.

Why isn't the flip side of this issue ever mentioned? When I left home to join the Military my neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago was predominintly Irish Catholic. We never locked our doors...front or back. Didn't even know where the keys were.. When I came back some years later I was the ONLY person of my color left in the neighborhood..all the people I grew up with..all the kids I went to school with..were gone. A lot of these folks I've never seen since. When you read about all the murders in Chicago a good portion of them now take place in my old neighborhood. By the time we were able to sell the family home it wasn't worth two shits on the market. Am I bitter about what happened?? HELL YES!!!!

My son lives there...no he's not a liberal;) that is the fastest growing city I believe in the US. The west coast is moving in there at breakneck speed and the prices of real estate are soaring. He said rental property is 97% full. And most Hispanics can't afford to live there. The same is happening in San Antonio.
Too bad the libs don't all move to the Middle East sandbox.
Problem is all of those West Coasters will bring their voting habits to Texas. They flee big government policies and high taxes and then vote Democratic in their new home. That's how Florida got screwed up.
Maybe this time we can beat them to the punch. Let all the leftards move out of Cali, preferably to Washington or Oregon, and watch it turn into a slum, then we move in, buy up all the shitholes, fix them up so they're unaffordable to the welfare crowd, and watch them move out! Then we can turn Cali to a red state, and have nice weather too. Just watch for the earthquakes.

interesting revelation. i see it too, having moved to a small town. the libs are pissed at the old guard for not making everything into a freebie fast enough, while the town is doing its best to prove how cool they are by giving into these things, slowly but surely. much of the moneyed libs are from expensive areas of the country, like me (northeast). they feel $1000/yr in real estate taxes needs to look more like $5000, since that's still cheaper than where they came from... and thus the city will shower them with all sorts of goodies. all this while our large concerns move the f*ck out of the state.
PS - not to mention, meantime, hardly no black-owned concerns in the downtown area... this smacks of Starbucks mentality.
As for this dumb-shit lawyer, he ought to have enough money to have been able to participate in gentrification himself. But perhaps, he does participate. What neighborhood does he live in?

This is pretty much the attitude in South Central Texas at the least. One could say in most of the state. Hispanics don't want white people, and they make no secret of it.
That's pretty much the story anywhere. When you have formerly valuable real estate that is now a barrio/projects/slum, you get white liberals that get the idea to revive the area, which pushes the poor, minorities out. I have seen it many times with beachfront towns in NJ. The most recent and notable, is Asbury Park. Where the New York gays bought up as much real estate as they could and now the town is an artsy fartsy, upscale area, that only rich white liberals can afford to live in.
oh, it gets deeper than that... between the gentrifying group you speak of, there's also the men vs women thing too, re: income inequality.
gay marriage rights took the focus off of that, at least for the general public. besides, typical intra-group fighting is none of our concern, as it dilutes the national agenda. LOL.
PS - all groups, not just this one, BTW. the left doesn't like to broadcast they might actually be in disagreement on their universal love concept within their own sanctioned groups.

I honestly don't get who Reposa is targeting, because doing this & then complaining about people not having money isn't enough. I would like to know politically who he blames for the "gentrification" of Austin, TX.
I think he was attempting to show the knee jerk reaction of the black law makers and the way they got immediately aggressive towards whites for this without getting any of the facts.
