Liberal CNN weenie face-to-face with SEAL. It’s like watching a housecat meet a Bengal tiger in the backyard:

“So you’re telling me because we were over there doing what we were told by our country, that it was senseless? And my guys, what? They died for nothing?”

Backtracking [i.e., cold sweating and peeing into his shorts], Tapper said, “No.”

“That’s what you said,” Luttrell fired back. “So, let me just say, it went bad for us over there, but that was our job. That’s what we did. We didn’t complain about it.”

  • Completely off topic, but We have a baby! MCLennaN was born Friday at 1212, 6 lbs, 14 oz, 19 inches long. Thanks to folk like luttrell who are trying to make a safer world for everyone, especially the newest members to the human tee ace!

  • Just saw Lone Survivor. All I have to say is, it should be mandatory viewing for all those douche-bags in DC (doesn't matter which political affiliation). They should be hog tied to chairs and made to watch it, Clockwork Orange-style. Maybe then we wouldn't be seeing headlines like how we are meeting with the Taliban, AQ, Hezzbollah, Etc. SPOILER ALERT: for anyone who hasn't read the book, already seen the movie, or has had their heads in sand the last decade. IMHO, the movie has one of the BEST opening sequences EVER! Because they are not in water and not in Blueberries, you forget that it is a NAVY movie. It's really brought home at the end when you see Sailors and Marines kneeling before the coffins of the fallen, and Sailors and Marines in uniform in pictures with family and friends. Be warned: this movie will PISS YOU OFF at the Taliban, AQ, and all those other Islamic fascist groups our country and the world seem to be kowtowing to lately. I cheered when the Apaches showed up and caused the Taliban cowardly attacking a village flee like the cockroaches they are and get mowed down by a spray of Apache-fired bullets. You also realize how honorable and courageous the regular people of Afghanistan are for standing up to the despots (also a nice plug for the 2A, if I may say so) and protecting Marcus Lutrell until the Americans showed up to extract him. It's intense. It's emotional (bring tissues). It's graphic. But it's a MUST SEE.

  • If that twit Tapper wanted to really get to the root cause of that mission's failure, maybe he should be interviewing the idiots from Quagmire's administration that set the rules of engagement.

    • Bush's actually. Hate to say it but these effed up ROE came out of Rumsfeld's DOD probably to keep the media and Dems of HIS back but the troops as usual paid the price.

  • Luttrell showed great restraint. He should've just shoved his fist into the puss's face. When the call is made and team members are sent down range, they don't question it. The answer it and do as they are trained without hesitation. It's the msm that questions them and makes ignorant comments like the one made by Tapper.

    Anytime he (Tapper) wanted to give the training an attempt, I'm sure SoComm would accommodate him. All he has agree to, is that he video taped and it will be produced and published.

    • If you've read "Lone Survivor" you saw where he does not hold back his contempt for liberals, the MSM, Democratic politicians, and the insane ROE he and the others were (are) required to follow.

  • Jake Tapper isn't you're usual journ0list. Does he have left-leaning tendencies? Yes. However, he also took Carney and the Urkel admin to task on things more than once. I respect him way more than most. I don't think Jake Tapper meant the question as it sounded. He should have asked it better. Just MHO.

    • I am all down with giving him the benefit of the doubt. For a professional the interview was not well done... Perhaps next time he needs to leave his political tendencies outside and just do a straight interview.

  • It is so easy for the arm chair quarterbacks to show fault, the truth is Special Ops are out every day doing extremely dangerous missions, missions assigned by suit wearing pencil pushers in the States, for the Marine Corp gazette to plaster blame on the seal team is ludicrous while purposely leaving out operational facts, missions are a secret for the primary reason because the “Remington raiders” like to shout their mouths off to show the knowledge they are exposed to and in so doing compromise missions and endanger SpOps teams!
