3D printing vs the 2nd Amendment

3D printing vs the 2nd Amendment. Have you heard of 3D printing? It’s an incredible new technology, almost like the replicator in Star Trek. A guy named Corey Wilson wanted to print the first 3D gun capable of firing a bullet. You won’t believe the problems he ran into. No, not technical problems. Anti-gun wacko problems. (By the way, if you want to know more about this jaw-droppingly awesome technology, check out the article and 3DPrinter.net at the headline link above.)

Separated at birth: Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Medusa Wasserman-Schultz

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz vs. Medusa Wasserman-Schultz. We saw this photo of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and couldn’t help but think that she looked like Medusa. According to Greek mythology Medusa had the face of a hideous human female, but a headful of venomous snakes instead of hair. Looking at her face would turn onlookers to stone. And that’s probably the biggest difference between DWS and Medusa. That is, no one’s ever gotten hard looking at Wasserman-Schultz. (I apologize to the Administrator, who always hates it when I take cheap shots at people’s appearance. But c’mon, Ad, this one cries out for comment.)

60% of Americans say, “I hate the media.”

60% of Americans say, “I hate the media.” Thanks to Gallup, we now know that IHateTheMedia.com is America’s most appropriately-named website. Gallup said, “Americans’ distrust in the media hit a new high this year, with 60% saying they have little or no trust in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly.” In other startling news, the sun rises in the east and Joe Biden is a moron.

New York Times announces that only Obama will be allowed to approve stories in advance

New York Times announces that only Obama will be allowed to approve stories in advance. It was revealed last week that the Times gave the White House the right to approve details in a lengthy story in advance. Now that the Obama story has run, the Times has realized that that policy may just be a violation of journalistic integrity and quickly announced a new policy that prohibits quote approval. In other words, what’s good for Obama just ain’t gonna fly for Romney. ‘Cause the Times is, you know, impartial.

Least subliminal commercial of the day

Least subliminal commercial of the day. It’s a slow day here at IHTM, so I’m watching Midnight Express on cable. The drug dealing kid just got sentenced to four years and two months in a foul Turkish prison when they cut to this commercial. It’s so over the top that even I, an incredibly sophisticated advertising professional, had to laugh. By the way, if you think this is over the top, go to YouTube and check out the 60-second version. Now let’s get to the important stuff – anyone know what time The View is on?

Holy Freakin’ Moly: Congresswoman thinks the Dutch held slaves in Brooklyn in 1898

Stupidity on parade: Congresswoman thinks the Dutch held slaves in Brooklyn. In 1898. Please be introduced to Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY), a woman capable of something we thought impossible, giving Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) — the bonehead who feared that stationing too many military personnel on Guam might make the island tip over — stiff competition for the title of Dumbest Member of Congress. In this clip Clarke tells Stephen Colbert that the Dutch still held slaves in her Brooklyn district 35 years after the Emancipation Proclamation (not to mention 224 years after those wooden-shoed mofos ceded New York to the English).

And just for old times’ sake, here’s Johnson worrying that Guam would tip over:

Cool music video: Blame it on Bush

Cool music video: Blame it on Bush. What could be better than kick-ass right wing rock ‘n roll? Well, yeah, sure, it would be better if they had Tawny Kitaen rolling around on the hood of a car. But I love it even without the little White Snake minx. (And if you ask real nice, I might tell you my own personal Tawny Kitaen story some day. It’s a good one.)

The Editor and the Administrator saw 2016 today

The Editor and the Administrator saw 2016 today. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon here at IHTM Intergalactic Headquarters, so we told Mrs Administrator and Mrs Editor that we were taking them out for a delightful lunch and a movie. They, of course, assumed we were going to see The Expendables or the Bourne Legacy or some other Hollywood piffle. Instead we took them to see Dinesh D’Souza’s 2016. The theater was packed. The audience were charged up. When it ended, the audience gave it an ovation. Then the Administrator stood up and hollered, “Now get out and vote”, and he was given a similar ovation. Go see 2016 for yourself. It’s all built around Dinesh D’Souza’s interesting theory about what drives Obama.

Joe Biden claims he’s had sex with three presidents.

Joe Biden claims he’s had sex with three presidents. We’re not sure which claim is most impressive: Wilt Chamberlain saying he’d had sex with 20,000 women or Joe Biden claiming he’s had sex with three Presidents. But at least now we know why Biden came out (pardon our choice of words) in favor of gay marriage.

Let me be the first to congratulate you, President Romney

Let me be the first to congratulate you, President Romney. It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned Mrs Editor and even longer since I mentioned my mother-in-law, Mrs Editor Mama, who is the very definition of a lunatic liberal. The woman has rarely worked in her life, but recently decided to grace the Obama campaign as a volunteer. Her job is to call Democrats to make sure they’re registered to vote and to ask if they’re voting for Obama. Mrs Editor quotes her mom as saying, “It’s a lot of fun except when I ask if they’re voting for Obama and they scream, ‘Hell, no’ and slam down the phone.” I knew the election was in the bag the moment I found out the Obama campaign was desperate enough to bring my mother-in-law on board. But the fact that registered DEMOCRATS react this way is all I need to know. Set ’em up, barkeep. I want to celebrate and I’m feeling generous.

Breaking news: We agree with an anti-Semitic homophobe

Breaking news: We agree with an anti-Semitic homophobe. Don’t get us wrong, we don’t agree with Democrat Charles Barron’s comments on Jews and gays. But we do agree with the losing candidate in Brooklyn’s 8th Congressional District when he denounced the media on election night and called them “really lowlife scum”. As the old saying goes, even a blind, anti-Semitic, homophobic sow occasionally finds an acorn.

Bill Clinton defends private equity investors because he’s one of them.

Bill Clinton defends private equity investors because he’s one of them. Call it a case of self-defense. It wasn’t long ago that Bill was brought into Ron Burkle’s Yucaipa Companies and paid tens of millions of dollars to schmooze with potential takeover clients and investors. (Oh, yeah, Burkle and Clinton were pretty well known for chasing tail all over Hollywood, but that’s another story.)

Here’s how Wikipedia describes a couple of Yucaipa’s deals that went bad:

In February 2006, Aloha Airlines was taken into private ownership by Yucaipa Companies. After 61 years in business, passenger operations were suddenly shut down on March 31, 2008. Rising fuel prices, new competition for interisland travel, a tightening credit market, and dwindling interest by investors in the airline industry, were all cited as contributing factors. In January 2011 Yucaipa won federal Bankruptcy Court approval to buy the Aloha name and other intellectual property for $1.5 million with a stipulation that it not resell the name to Mesa Air Group, the parent of go! Mokulele. It is unknown at this time what the furture plans are for the Aloha name.

Caught in the “pink slime/finely textured beef” controversy and with interim chief executive Ron Allen citing “ongoing media attention” that has “dramatically reduced the demand for all ground beef products” in 2012, Yucaipa’s AFA declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, AFA at the time the controversy broke had about 850 employees and annual revenues of $958 million.

Remember this one next time you hear a lefty talk about Mitt Romney’s career.

Obama snubs Lech Walesa. And damn near everyone and everything else.

Obama snubs Lech Walesa. And damn near everyone and everything else. We caught a headline this morning that said, “Obama snubs Lech Walesa.” Something in the back of our heads said, “Hmmmm. That headline has a familiar ring to it”, so we Googled the phrase “Obama snubs”. Holy crap, it generated 427,000 hits. In just the first fifteen pages of results we found:

It should come as no surprise that a man who refers to himself as The One should look at others with great disdain but, Good lord, man, is there anything animate or inanimate that Barack Hussein Obama hasn’t snubbed?

427,000 is a big number. It makes it sounds like there’s a whole lotta snubbing’ goin’ on in this White House. We didn’t want to draw any unfair conclusions from that number, however, so we also Googled “Bush snubs” for comparison purposes and and that phrase generated a mere 26,800 hits.

Then we noticed that the first page of search results included references to Reggie Bush and Jeb Bush so we did a second search for “Bush snubs”, “President” and “George”. That reduced the total to just 11,100. It’s reasonable to assume, we think, that a goodly number of those hits may have referred to George H.W. Bush, but what the hell. Let’s go with 11,100.

The difference is stark. In 3.5 years, Barack Hussein Obama, the haughtiest President in history, has snubbed people, places and things 38 times as often as his predecessor did in 8 years. 38 freakin’ times more often in less than half the time.

One can only hope that on Monday, January 21, 2013 the nation’s newspapers run a headline in the same genre that reads, “Obama snubs Romney’s inauguration”.

Mark Steyn endorses IHateTheMedia.com.

Mark Steyn endorses IHateTheMedia.com. Mark Steyn, our favorite Rush Limbaugh fill-in host, said this is a new screed about John Edwards, “Oh, and while we’re at it, I loathe the American media, whose peculiarly contemptible combination of partisanship, snobbery, and self-neutering of any basic journalistic instinct might easily have led (were it not for the candidacy of Barack Obama) to this preening metrosexual slug’s becoming president of the United States.” In other words, I hate the media, you hate the media, Mark Steyn hates the media.

Clothing company should hire George Zimmerman as its spokesman

Clothing company should hire George Zimmerman as its spokesman. You’ve probably seen this police photo of George Zimmerman’s bloody head wounds several times in the last few days, but did you ever notice the brand name of the sweatshirt? Look closely at the name on the collar. Free Country. We’re not sure if this is irony or parody.

Of course he fabricated a girlfriend. Does that really surprise anyone?

Of course he fabricated a girlfriend. Does that really surprise anyone? C’mon, this guy is the Sissy In Chief. We’ve documented this before and this seems like the perfect time to demonstrate that Barack Obama is not only our first black president, but also our first female one.

effeminate-obamaHere. Check out an article we did a couple years ago that shows many photos and videos of the Sissy In Chief.

Out of luck Canucks: Canadians pissed that their government isn’t dishing out cheap internet like our government does.

Canadians pissed that their government isn’t dishing out cheap internet like our government does. We’ve covered the free government cell phone scam extensively, but did you know the FCC has now expanded the program to include cheap internet? Of course, they’ve expanded it at the precise moment that the Canuckian government has done just the opposite. Nice timing, Barack.

Breitbart! It has a nice beat and it’s easy to dance to.

Breitbart! It has a nice beat and it’s easy to dance to. Please note the clever way I paid tribute to both Andrew Breitbart and Dick Clark in one headline. As a client said to me the other day, “You need to learn to succinctly your copy.” Mission accomplished. Oh, by the way, now that I’m done patting myself on the back, this masterpiece was written and performed by Chris Cassone and the video was done by BigFurHat, iOwnTheWorld’s resident genius.

Dog, the other white meat

Dog, the other white meat. We hadn’t seen the headline anywhere else, so we figured, “What the hell.” Obama criticizes Romney for strapping his dog’s pet carrier to the roof of the family car. But then someone remembered that that Obama revealed in Dreams From My Father that he ate dog when he was a kid Indonesia. Just too freakin’ funny. Bo, we’d recommend keeping one eye open tonight.

World’s richest man getting richer off free government cell phones

World’s richest man getting even richer off free government cell phones. Carlos Slim, the Mexican gazillionaire, now has more money than Bill Gates. Among his assets is Safelink Wireless, the biggest name in the free government cell phone scam. You pay, the world’s richest man collects. Only in America.

Time to pay the piper: Phone companies to increase your bill to pay for free government cell phone scam

Time to pay the piper: Phone companies to increase your bill to pay for free government cell phone scam. Stevie Wonder could have seen this one coming. AT&T has announced that it’s raising the Universal Service Fee on its customers’ phone bills to pay for the free government cell phone and cheap internet scam. As one of the OWS signs said, “Everything free for everyone.” Except you.

Ingenious Obama plan to balance the budget: Charge Americans to renounce their citizenship.

Ingenious Obama plan to balance the budget: Charge Americans to renounce their citizenship. You have to give Obama credit where credit is due: This is genius. A record number of Americans renounced their citizenship last year. So Obama has increased the fee for renunciation paperwork to $450. In one move, he has (a) decreased the budget deficit, and (b) reinforced the reason most of those Americans left in the first place. Everybody wins. Like we said, genius.
