President Obama’s tax rate was 20.5%, lower than his secretary’s.
As President Obama mounts an aggressive campaign on what he calls tax fairness, his own tax burden has fallen to the lowest of his time in the White House, lower than many who make far less — including his secretary.

Politicizing the Iraq Withdrawal President Obama claims his total troop withdrawal by year-end was always the plan. In fact, thousands of our military would be staying longer, training Iraqis, but for the administration’s diplomatic incompetence.

More Democrat meddling in business. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, after 20 months of flight tests and certification by the FAA, is ready to make it’s first commercial flight on October 26th. Now three Democrat representatives have sic’d the Government Accounting Office on Boeing.

A young Michael Moore trying to take on someone of intelligence. This clip shows a young Michael Moore being schooled by Milton Friedman. Moore obviously didn’t learn anything from the encounter.

Correction. Not the “real” Michael Moore. This is from the person who posted the YouTube video: “Holy cow! I never thought this video would get so many views. I uploaded it as a joke – this is not the real Michael Moore (although if you add some neckfat it would be hard to tell the difference). I meant “A Young Michael Moore” in the sense that a child who is great at basketball is a “Young Michael Jordan”. Nevertheless, I’m glad it stirred some debate in the comment section, it’s a great back and forth between Friedman and the kid, IMO. I thought the metaphor would be obvious, seeing as how the kid is a skinny redhead, while Michael Moore… well, isn’t a skinny redhead. I apologize for the confusion.”

Milton Friedman on Greedy Capitalists. This video is 31 years old and is especially relevant today. It should be mandatory viewing by OWS’ers.

What do poor Africans know that OWS protestors don’t? That the way out of poverty is entrepreneurship and small businesses, not freebies.

The Nobel Prize for Economics goes to two Americans who have separately exposed the flaws in government stimulus spending. For a Keynesian president, it’s the Anti-Peace Prize. All in all, the judges honored economists who’ve shown what the public knows well: Obamanomics is a failure.

Al Gore is doing a disservice to science by overplaying the link between climate change and weather. He’s being thrown out of the Global Climate Change club.

The U.S. Postal Service actually runs a profit. But leave it to Congress to require the Postal Service to pre-pay benefits 75 years in advance just so they can raid the fund.

The media’s love affair with a disastrous president In the main, the establishment American media abandoned its critical faculties during the Obama campaign — and it hasn’t reclaimed them since.

Much of the Obama coverage was orchestrated sychophancy. They glided past his pretensions — when did a presidential candidate before “address the world” from the Brandenberg Gate in Berlin? They ignored his arrogance — “You’re likeable enough, Hillary.” And they averted their eyes from his every gaffe — such as the admission that he didn’t speak “Austrian.”

The media walked right past the decades-long association of Obama with the weird and racist pastor Jeremiah Wright. In the midst of the brief stormlet over the issue, one CNN host — inexplicably — decided that CNN was going to be a “Wright-free zone.” He could have hung out a sign: “No bad news about Obama here.”
