We actually wish this was a joke, but it’s not.
On July 19, President Obama called in the media to promote the Democrats’ latest extension of unemployment benefits. To help make his point, he brought in one of his patented human props, a Florida woman named Leslie Macko, who has been out of work for more than a year now.
Cue the gnashing of teeth and let the Democrat wailing begin. “Oh, poor Leslie Macko. We must do something for the Leslie Mackos of the world.”
“We need to extend unemployment compensation benefits for women like Leslie Macko, who lost her job at a fitness center last year, and has been looking for work ever since,” the President ominously intoned. “Because she’s eligible for only a few more weeks of unemployment, she’s doing what she never thought she’d have to do. Not at this point, anyway. She’s turning to her father for financial support.”
Unfortunately, no one at the White House bothered to research why Leslie Macko was unemployed. They should have.
Turns out Macko was canned from her job as an esthetician after being was convicted of prescription drug fraud.
Just like these clowns should all be canned for Hope and Change fraud.

Yeah I did hear. I saw it on Fox. I laughed and then I laughed some more, wipe the tears that streamed from my laughing and then I chuckled a little to myself throughout the day. He continues to embarrass himself, but of course I was waiting to see if he would blame someone else for this. To see Gibbs tap dancing around this was hilarious as well. It is almost as if criminals (as well as rats, bees and flies) flock to the man. Hilarious.
If this woman was in fact fired for cause, due to a felony conviction, then she is not eligible for unemployment benefits, and has thus committed another felony by fraudulently acquiring unemployment benefits.
I love this president! I do, I love him long time. He makes it so easy to call him what he is-a moronic idiot who deserves to be washing dishes at best! Fanfreakingtastic this guy!
Hell, trinity, most of those who are currently serving time probably get their unemployment checks hand-delivered under the regime's rule. It's certainly not their fault (usually) they got caught, thus being prevented from making it to the post office.
No one properly checked Half Cracker™ Obama's background before the election, so he's just repaying the favor.
Why was someone who was fired, because of a criminal conviction even eliglible for unemployment in the first place? Here's an employment opportunity for her...her ass ought to be in jail, making license plates or something of that nature.
and welfare checks and all kinds of goodies... It is not right.
I'm still trying to figure out why giving people a weekly check for not working is better than creating a business climate that allows for increased hiring.
