Revolution on the Democrat plantation: Black caller calls out Reverend Al Sharpton

One can only hope that black voters are looking around at the current batch of exciting, young, black Republican candidates and saying, “Hmmmm. The Democrats haven’t really done much for me in the last 50 years….”

Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe a recent caller to Al Sharpton’s radio show is a sign of things to come.

The Radio Equalizer has the audio:

Caller: Reverend Al, I’ve been following you since the eighties ever since Tawana Brawley. Brother, you’ve had a place in my heart that is special.

But I’m from Chicago and the Democrats here can’t stand on their record, Reverend Al. That’s why the people are not coming out to vote, because they’ve been abused and misused. And I would just like to end with this that the Democratic Party has controlled the state government for at least ten or fifteen years.

The Democratic Party has controlled Chicago for at least 50 years and the blacks in Chicago and the blacks in the State of Illinois are worse off here, Reverend Al. You should come to Chicago so that you can see how bad they treat the people and now you gonna ask the people that you’ve been beaten down smacked up for ten or fifteen years to vote for me?

I’m not that ignorant, Reverend Al. I’m not going to keep expecting different results doing the same thing. Love you, brother. Out of here.

We assume this audio was cut off just before Reverend Al said, “Ah, crap. Looks like my scam is starting to unravel.”

  • So what you are saying is that people cannot be redeemed or people cannot change? Are you perfect? I think not. I am sure at some point you believed something that wasn't right or you did something that wasn't right, but then you changed and saw the light. Instead of putting you down you lifted up and why do that to others. They are waking up fast or slow but it is happening and instead of belittling them for their past mistakes or views it is perhaps better to be positive and guide people like this to the light. Shutting them off will just make them unable to grow.

    • Kimmy, the guy did not say that there was anything wrong with what Sharpton did with the Brawley hoax. He said he was with him since that event.

      So I think it is safe to say that he still is with him. He also did not say he was against Sharpton, he was against the Dems.

      And yes, I've made a lot of stupid mistakes in my life...But I acknowledged them. I have never heard Sharpton say anything about the Brawley hoax and admit it was a lie...

      • Well we don't know that this gentlemen isn't against sharpton or hasn't acknowledge whatever has happened. We can't assume much from a little snippet of a conversation that they are having. We can, however, see that the man *is* starting to think differently. That should be celebrated.

        I think it takes a bold person to even get as far as this caller did; he is obviously thinking about things in a different light.

        Sometimes that takes a little while to really take root. The seeds are sown, so let's just pray they continue to grow.

  • I like that the brother was with Reverend Al ever since the Tawana Brawley crime that Sharpton foisted on America.

    This caller is a no good POS too, just like AL.

    • I don't know -- we have all been taken in at one time or another. From what I've seen, some of the staunchest republicans I have seen are the reformed libs. He brings up a very good point. If politicians were not getting so much power from exploiting race, making things a million times worse in the process, a lot of the problems would have gone away a long time ago.

      He has balls in calling in -- I have my doubts that his call was received well, or his point taken, Al making his entire career off of exploiting racial hatred. But I sure bet he got a lot of people thinking, and that's good!

      • It's not the past that defines us, but what we do at this moment in time.

        The caller may have been with Al (A guy I refuse to refer to as Reverend. If he is a real Christian, then I am the dali llama...) but he probably told himself what was being said about Al wasn't true. THat happens: Parents do it all the time. People do it about friends or coworkers or what not. It isn't a liberal or conservative thing, it is a human condition.

        Give the caller some slack. IF we are in the conservative boat, we can't push people back in the water just because they supported liberal causes in the past. Some people are just now realizing what their support has brought upon the world.

    • Don't fall into the trap of underestimating people. Democrats and all progressives did it including Obama and lo and behold the Tea Party emerged out of nothing. I am sure that even within the Tea Party are ex Obama lovers. Even if it was a minority many blacks did not drink the Kool Aid.

  • Blacks are leaving the Democratic Plantation because it must be hard to take all the condescension from Liberals.

  • 1) That caller was ignorant, or he wouldn't have been with "reverend" Al-as "reverend" Al ruined a police officer's life, his family's life, and his career, when he WRONGLY ACCUSED him of impropriety.
    2) That caller was ignorant, as he should know that the blacks here in Illinois have Jesse Jackass to thank for all that has been done to them by the DNC here in Illinois!
    Lastly-Why would anyone want to listen to an Al Sharpton radio show, unless it was to torture themselves?

    • Feels good to wake up from the Matrix, doesn't it? To realize that with self reliance and hard work you stand a better chance of improving your own situation than if you just sit back and wait for help from "them".

      Feels....LIBERATING.
