Actually the Chinaman is behind Reid...Me go faster long time?
It seems from the news stories this morning, that Bundy is the last cattle man in the area, 52 other ranches have been driven out of business by the BLM.
Could this all be a tactic to raise beef prices? Reduce the supply and the demand remains the same.
Who in the government has family or friends that would profit from something like this?
The article states the cattle are on federal land but Bundy, in an interview, said it was state land. Hard to get a fix on the truth but the motives to get rid of Bundy are clear.

Interesting read... funny how a tactic that would have the effect of permanently impeding a local tax base would be advocated by a Senator who supposedly represents the area's interests. If what the piece linked reflects the true aims it would seem that while some of the beneficiaries would be in state (Los Vegas), he is effectively cutting the local throats for the betterment of interests in Arizona and southern California. That information may well be an effective tool in using the electoral process to rid our government of scum like Reid.
Water has always been a weapon in the West. Couple that with the solar farm deal and it seems pretty easy to connect the dots. Bundy is in the wrong technically, I think, but from his POV I get it. His is the only ranch left in Clark County as he has seen his neighbors all run off. He is making a stand on moral principle in his mind.
My concern is some yahoo taking a shot at a federal agent. It will be a full on blood bath if that happens.
I originally thought he was in the wrong, but after reading about this, I think he was in the right all along. He has "Preemptive" water and grazing rights that were granted 140 years ago along with the property.
The other thing the feds did during this was destroy all the watering infrastructure built over the last 140 years.
Difficult to get a fix on the truth indeed... and you aren't going to get anything from the propaganda ministry media.
