    • Because the gooberment sees King Obama as the new King George, and the citizenry as the new Colonists.

    • We prefer not to use the term "terrorists" as that tends to frighten children and small animals... the correct term is "future IRS targets".. or you could go with "inadvertently awakened" or "progressively disadvantaged" if you like.

  • Know this my friends, that knife cuts both ways. Someday the reins of power will fall to a Conservative House and a Conservative Senate and Conservative White House and a Conservative Court. That's what frightens Progressives more that death itself! These are the monster stories they tell their one and only one child at night, before they tuck their little Prozac, Guanfasine, Thorazine, Lithium and Ritalin addled toddler into bed.

    • The reins will not fall into hands that are not willing to wrest them from who or whatever currently has a white knuckle death grip on them.

  • And where are the Rearends Notsharpton and Jackass stating the obvious that this money could be spent here in the USA? Of course, the D's and their allies like Al and Jesse want to keep people in poverty and on the govt teat, as well as hooked on drugs. Keeps them on the plantation....and I am beginning to think that the folks on the plantation are completely satisfied to stay there despite their whining.

  • This is why I am now switching to the Tea Party. All these guys are in bed with one another. Or texting pictures of their genitalia- if they ar Weiner.

    • A strong majority TEA Party is what this country needs to restore freedom and limit government. The established elitist RINOs of the Republican party have become just another obstacle to our Constitutional freedoms and allow government growth and takeover.
      What we need to get us back on the road to recovery is a President and a Congress where he and both houses will say “We will fundamentally transform America BACK to what made her great.”
      What we really need is for every single person that wants to maintain freedom and limit government to get out and vote for like minded representatives. That is what we really need.

      • It's going to be tough sifi. Part of the method behind the madness socialists have pushed for years is the expansion of government employment and social programs. How can we convince people to vote for who and what is better for our country against their own self interests?

        How do we convince government employees to vote for someone who wants to cut government spending, maybe costing them their jobs? Even though smaller government and a more robust private sector would provide better employment opportunities for all it is hard to convince people of that. You have to remember that a lot of people would not have a job if not for the government, they are too stupid to make it in the real world.

        How do we convince older folks, like my parents, to vote for the person who wants to make badly needed changes in Medicare and Social Security to save them instead of the guy who promises to leave it alone? My parents are nearly 80 and they are scared to death that S.S and Medicare reforms will leave them out in the cold. Nothing could be farther from the truth but conservatives are not getting the message out.

        Most of us here know changes need to be made. Most of us here can see the train wreck coming. But how do we convince those who are blind and cannot see the forest because of the trees? That is the tough part.

          • Not totally, the strong will survive. God, guns and guts made this country what it is and there are tens of millions of us around that still believe in all three.

          • I beg to differ on the grounds that "screwed" may have been misinterpreted- after all if Anthony Weiner is still a viable mayoral candidate after twice tweeting his twig then maybe people are looking to get screwed.

  • So, someone tell me: How is it that conspiracy theorists are "crazy" when we have a government that is very overtly saying, "We will not put up with any hindrances when it comes to surveilling citizens"?

          I moved to Florida to get away from snow!
          Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, and Alabama all offer interesting alternatives to freezing my ass off.

          • New Mexico will be part of ACTUAL Mexico very soon. Texas, for all their tough and independent talk, will probably go the same way.
