Mark Epstein, owner of the Milk Street Cafe at 40 Wall Street, just let 21 employees go. The reason? The barricades police have set up throughout Wall Street as a consequence of the ongoing demonstration. ‘Scuse us for sayin’, but it’s probably not just the barriers that keep customers away. A crowd of smelly, rowdy people hanging around a restaurant don’t exactly say “bon appetit” to a prospective diner (not to mention the smell of urine and poop.) BTW, Obama and Pelosi support the pooping and Elizabeth Warren created the “intellectual foundation” for it.

The same thing is happening in cities all across the country. The OWS fools are hurting the people they say they want to help and, in my opinion, this is a good thing.
It will turn small business owners and their employees against the OWS movement so things will work out for the better in the long run.

Milk Street Café's home territory is Boston, right in the heart of the financial district. It'll be interesting to see what will happen going forward. MSC is a very successful company in the city - their catering delivery vans are a regular sight on the streets. The location isn't all that far from the Rose Kennedy Greenway where Occupy Boston has set up shop. Let's hope it's too far afield for the dirty hippies to mess with.
I wonder how many more stories like this we're going to hear in the coming weeks.
Well K8/Mitch/Olivia/whoever, how do you feel about your pals now? They are forcing low paid foodservice workers out of their jobs! You aren't hurting anyone but the working class you claim to care about and the small businessperson that is barely scraping by. What's next on your agenda, stealing EBT cards from welfare moms?

They can justify this easily. "Those guys were working for the man, serving the man!" Doesn't matter that they were just ordinary people trying to make a living.
What I want to know is when does 1 or more of these banking/investment operations basd in NYC just say "eff this", & they pack up & move elsewhere? It's not like you have to need to be in NYC to do what they do, they could do that from anywhere. If that starts to happen, watch how fast idiots like Bloomberg, Schumer, Rangle, & the MSM go off about how that would damage the NYC economy & where would they replace the tax revenue lost if that did happen. I almost want that to happen just to see how it would play out, almost.
The twenty-one laid off workers should lead the attack on the Occupiers.

This shit is going on in Oakland, too. They had business owners on last night's news stating this was causing drops in business, people cancelling events, eating elsewhere, etc.
I fully expect problems tomorrow as it's supposed to be strike day. I wouldn't be the least little bit surprised if they attack any small businesses that remain open in downtown Oakland tomorrow.
I expect this may cause people to be laid off and perhaps some small businesses to permanently close. Remember many if them are already under the financial 8 ball after damages from the Oscar Grant riots and cannot stand any more financial problems.
