School board president rips Michelle O over lunch program: She was “elected by no one”. Seems the kids aren’t buying what she’s selling and it’s costing the district $$$$, even with federal subsidies. Peasants. How dare you care more about money than the queen’s happiness.

Thad Cochran “Wins” a Race He Mulled Not Running

Thad Cochran “Wins” a Race He Mulled Not Running

The question seemed to tug at Senator Thad Cochran throughout his bumpy re-election campaign in Mississippi: Why, after a long, distinguished career — 42 years in Congress, including six terms in the Senate — was he seeking a seventh term?

Umm, so he could retire mid-term and have Haley Barbour’s son appointed to the position?

D.C. Whispers: Obama cries out – “It’s about ME!”

D.C. Whispers: Obama cries out – “It’s about ME!” “The president’s job is to just sign the executive orders Jarrett’s people create and then read a Jarrett-approved speech about it to a crowd he’s been assured will be very friendly to him. Beyond that he’s allowed to play golf, watch TV, host dinner parties, and fly off for ‘escape breaks’ disguised as fundraisers. It’s a miserable existence that has him counting the days until it’s over. The power structure is shifting from him to others. He won’t get it done for them, so they are preparing for the next phase. I’m not talking about Democrats or Republicans when I say that. I’m talking about THEM.” We’re counting the days as well.

Radical stupidity: Academics endorse $20,000 income for everyone, working or not

Radical stupidity: Academics endorse $20,000 income for everyone, working or not. “Companies would have to hike the minimum wage to $30,000 or $40,000 to attract any workers. Prices would go up accordingly, and the inflation aspects of a guaranteed ‘living income’ would immediately make $20,000 too little to live on.” But the inflation would be blamed on greedy businesses and give politicians another opportunity to grandstand as “defender of the little guy” while stuffing their pockets full of campaign contributions from those same greedy businesses behind the scenes. It’s a pol’s dream come true.

Childers, Cochran in dead heat among GOP voters in Chism poll

Childers, Cochran in dead heat among GOP voters in Chism poll. It looks like quite a lot of Republicans are wondering why, if Democrats can vote for a RINO in the primary, they shouldn’t vote for a blue dog in the general. And you know the Cochran machine can’t be happy about that.

Reminder: Hobby Lobby Provides Coverage for 16 Types of Contraception. This has never been about birth control, but rather control. And their never ending quest to take away all of ours. (H/T to PoppaJoe49 any anyone else that might have mentioned this under reported fact in the comments section)

White House clueless about Hobby Lobby decision

Obama_duh.jpg
White House clueless about Hobby Lobby decision. Press Secretary Josh Earnest (who really isn’t) keeps talking about Obama’s “constitutional lawyer” credentials and why he disagrees with the decision, apparently unaware that this wasn’t a constitutional law case at all. And Reuters reports that the president may “act on his own to mitigate effect” of the ruling… which is exactly what he did in the first place and the Supreme Court just slapped down.

Dawn of the Age of Oligarchy: the alliance between government and the 1%

Dawn of the Age of Oligarchy: the alliance between government and the 1%. “…both political parties are to blame. Republican fealty to the interests of the investor class has been long-standing. But Obama and the Democrats are also increasingly backed in their ‘progressive’ causes by the very people – Wall Street traders, venture capitalists and tech executives – who benefit most from the federal bailouts, cheap money, low interest rates, and low capital gains tax rates.” And each party hates the oligarchs of the other – at least they pretend to – because they don’t want to point fingers at their own cronies. Hence, today’s politics is just a noisy kabuki dance meant to distract the rubes.
