  • I read somewhere else earlier, I forget which site, that the state of Illinois is broke and state government will have to shut down by the end of the month. The biggest problem? Over $100 billion in pension payments to retired state workers, including teachers, that the state can no longer pay. You have to love those public employee unions!

To add insult to injury their high court said the state could not renegotiate union retirement policies, only change the policies for new hires. It looks like the only way to cover the shortfall is to lay off all state employees so they can pay those no longer working. LMOAO...Is Illinois a liberal utopia or what!!

    • Prior Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.
I guess nobody in Ill ever heard that one.

      • This situation is called stepping on your dick and squashing it flat. Frankly it is hilarious. The inevitable has happened. They have ran out of OPM. Hahahaha. Now what socialism geniuses?

        • They only ran out of OPM in Ill, next they'll see what they can get from the rest of us.

  • Gee whiz, why they don't just borrow a few more billion dollars to make up the shortfall?

    • Illinois like Greece, has run out of other peoples money..No body wants to loan them a nickle....I was gonna suggest rummage sales, lemonade stands and maybe a pole dancing exhibition for the teachers to show off their skills in the land of stinkin'.....

    • The teachers aren't the ones with children, it's the students. I'm sure they still have funding for that program.

BTW, Chicago and Puerto Rico are tied for the title of Athens of the West.

  • they should shut them all down--they are as useless as the day is long brought to you by rahm-us emmanuel
