CHP officer shot on highway is dead. THIS should not have happened. Yes, I am on my soapbox. Yes I’m hijacking IHTM. Yes I am upset about it. No I didn’t know this man among men. This happened a mere few miles from where I live. A traffic stop for an expired license plate turns into a murder of a California Highway Patrol Officer with a wife and 4 kids. And people wonder why cops get a little gun happy and defensive. What appeared to be a routine stop robbed him of his life, and his family of a husband, father, brother and son. May the Lord make his face to shine upon them all, and bring them peace!
This is a very sad story taking place in my own back yard. My prayers go out to this officer's family. Thank you Officer Youngstrom for your dedicated service.
