Chris Matthews was unhappy on Monday night. Very, very angry. And the oil industry was the target of his anger.
“Why doesn’t the President go in there, nationalize an industry and get the job done for the people?” the MSNBC host ranted.
But that wasn’t enough. He also wants to follow China’s example and execute the people responsible for the oil spill. “They execute people for this. Major industrial leaders that commit crimes like this.”
And while he was on a roll, he took aim at capitalism: “Everybody says ‘Capitalism is great. Unbridled free enterprise is great. Look at it! This is great, isn’t it?'”
Now can we please put to rest any doubts that Chris Matthews is a socialist? Please?

Like the idea about execution. Hate the idea about oil industry.
Notice how he states that the government should just take over and nationalize the oil industry but doesn't say how that actually would solve the problem of the spill itself. I suppose we are to infer that government knows everything and can fix everything without ever making things worse. how exactly does an accident like this make one a criminal? irresponsible and guilty of not planning ahead to protect one's interests perhaps but a criminal? does he really think that the same accident could not have happened if the government was running things?

Hell I'm a leftist who would support nationalizing the oil industry (follow Alaska's lead!) but really Chris? Citing China as a good example on execution? Ugh.

Matthews would be foaming at the mouth condemning right-wing "terrorists" if a conservative talked about executing those responsible. But let's go ahead and nationalize the industry and implement the policy of executing of those in charge when the next spill inevitably occurs. Oh, wait. "Those in charge" would be the government! What a dumbass.
Crissy would be the first to cry to mommy if someone were given capitol punishment. What a disingenuous, hypocritical buffoon. BTW, why is IHTM even acknowledging the existence of this worm? He will deservedly be relegated to the trash-heap of history.

Head trauma can be a serious problem. Banging his head on the top of his desk while W was president and now banging his head on the underside of Obama's desk has taken its toll.

I'd say Chris finally jumped the shark but there is NO LIMIT to the absurdities the left can spew and still keep their job.
Like Olberman he finds himself having to say something outlandish every few days so web sites like this pick up on it and he gats some much needed attention.
We could ignore him, but Its more fun watching him melt down.
