And to answer the headline question: YES its preposterous to think a plane was sucked up into a black hole. Idiot. I'm not an astrophysicist by a long shot and even I know that!
No dipshit, the plane got swallowed by the giant sucking sound coming from the Atlanta GA offices of CNN.
Anyone check that area between his ears? It's a huge vacuum in there and he is black…. That plane could be flying around in there.
If he equated the Black Hole to the 0dumbo presidency then I would say yea.
There's illiteracy. We all know what that is, along with its cousin, functional illiteracy.
Then there's innumeracy. That's illiteracy in all number matters. We see all sorts of examples of that every time another group with an agenda spews out some statistics and the news people obligingly regurgitate them (as long as the numbers agree with their preconcieved notions)
I don't recall, but I definitely did hear the expression that describes scientific illiteracy. Maybe someone can help me out.
So this idiot, whose entire understanding of science comes from watching some sci-fi movies, actually entertains this notion, and the scientifically illiterate viewers will swallow this crap.
I fully expect conspiracy-freak/alarmist type websites to be appearing with all sorts of "explanations" that "yep, the black holes are out there". Or maybe it will be "expect more black holes to be swallowing up planes unless we get this climate change under control. We need a carbon tax NOW!"
Put this one together with a previous post on this blog - the LA councilmen investigating fracking as the cause of an earthquake.
If the journalists had any semblance of a desire for truth, instead of sensationalism and leftie agendas, they's find people who really know what the hell is going on, and the next day's papers/news websites would let everyone know exactly what kind of morons these people are.
