• Well done and the best part it was done for all the right reasons.

• I, personally, believe (no proof) that stories like this are the rule, rather than the exception. But it won't sell airtime like blood and cries of RAAAAAAYSIST, and so goes unreported.

  • I know the folks I work with do this kind of thing as often as they can. It is part of the job. But the media focuses on us when someone gets shot. If you work in an area long enough, you know who is good and bad, and who is in trouble and things just don't look right. I said it before, I have done little things for people all the time. It is part of the job. Nobody asks for any attention for it, and some of the cops I work with get pissed if you even bring it up. Young people who enter the business don't have the same attitude, and sometimes question why we do things for people. It sometimes takes a while for it to soak in. But when you see all the crazy bad shit we see, you get a real high when you can turn the tables and do something good for someone. That is what keeps you going in this business. Of course there is satisfaction when you arrest a bad person, but sometimes the look on people's faces when you help them is all the thanks you could ever want for doing this job. Just keep in mind the majority of cops, sheriff's deputies, highway patrol and state police are like this. I can't not speak for the feds but I have not been impressed by what I have seen and heard.

      Why would the media ruin a good meme by telling people what good things you do?
      Look at me, I'm just a greedy contractor, who only cares about the almighty dollar. Why would they print a story about the stuff I do for the truly needy?
      Just like the greedy bastards at Home Depot, just because they donate materials to help a needy person, and donate their time and skills to help people, they won't get a good story written, because they make a profit!
      We need to glorify the musician that plays one concert for a charity instead of donating the money themselves. These wonderful leftists could afford to give more than any one concert would raise, but they are the real heroes, because they use this charity concert for self promotion.

      • And even for a "charity" concert, only a smal proportion of the door after all costs, in luding their pay have been paid.

      • Leftists don't give to charity, unless it is somehow related to killing babies or old people.
