Which CBS executive hired Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson to host the Late, Late Show? Whoever it was deserves a raise, because it was an inspired choice.
MSNBC’s Richard Wolffe was Ferguson’s guest on Wednesday night and tried to explain why he was against any extension of the Bush tax cuts. The following conversation ensued:
Ferguson: You’re a Democrat, aren’t you?
(Audience laughter)
Wolffe: I am a journalist.
Ferguson: A journalist?
(Audience laughter)
Ferguson: Much the same thing, isn’t it?
(Audience laughter)
Not only was Ferguson’s delivery and timing absolutely perfect, but so was Wolffe’s muted acceptance of the truth. He sat there in stunned silence with a silly grin on his face. Right next to the egg on his face.

Right again, Kimmy. Many situations DO have two sides. And they should both be reported on. If one side is lying to make their point, THAT should be reported in a truthful manner. The way things are reported these days, it's like there is only one side to each story. The liberal side. Which is usually a lie.
No, KimmyQueen, the journalists job is NOT to report "both sides of the story". It's to report the truth. And the truth doesn't have two sides. That's one of the problems with journalism today. For one, real journalists are in short supply. And two, stories are reported with a kind of false equivalency that make people believe that every story has two sides. There's is only one side...what actually happened ie the truth.

The TRUTH about an even and how it really happen should be reported factually and precisely and that is the job of a journalist, reporter and the like. Things that can be factually proven to be the truth about a specific person or event (example volcano eruption, a war, and so on).
However the job of a journalist and a reporter is to present an unbiased presentation of an event or situation that has TWO SIDES correctly and then let the people decide what is THEIR truth as their see it from those sides. There are many ambiguous events especially in this world were we dont get the WHOLE truth about something that it is or it should be the journalist job to sift through it and present both opinions and both sides. Now a journalist can present what he or she deems to be the factual truth about the event in question that is right, however with so many people trying to conceal it the next best thing is to provide both sides for people to decide on their own.
Wolffe is really an Obama puppet that yaks the Democratic party talking points.If he was a journalist he would be honest.I agree with Kimmyqueen's comment that sums it up
As a "journalist" he shouldn't be championing one cause over the other. He should provide both points of view and decide to leave it to the people to figure out which one works for them. Instead of a journalist he should have said he is an opinion maker or something to that effect which in essence is what he actually is.

I always liked Craig. Better than Letterman, Leno, and definitely Fallon all combined. (God help us all if Jimmy Fallon ever does anything else). He may be a liberal himself, but at least he's willing to make fun of it and not try to put himself over everyone (so is he really a liberal?).
It's almost possible he has to be "Liberal" to keep his job.
