• As is the NYC Council Comrade de Blasio is owned the Working Families Party aims to unionize ALL of New York City. They own 40 of the 52 seats in the Council. They are the old communists who reformed as this WFP.

• Since car washes usually hire the illiterate, illegals, minorities with no qualifications to do anything else or high school kids, guess who this idiocy will hurt the worse.

  I'm willing to bet that a lot of the car washes De Blowsmeo is targeting are owned by small business men, they may have one or two, and his union buddies want them for themselves. If I owned one I would lay everyone off, lock the doors, then start advertising. Whoever has the cash gets the business. And, I would make sure everyone working for me knew exactly why they were losing their jobs.

    • No it doesn't. Because if you don't vote Democrat, they can magically change your vote, or they suddenly find a ballot box in someone's car trunk, that swings the election to the Dem.

• A facet of Cloward-Piven... burden businesses with regulations whose true aim is to put them out of business. It seems pretty clear to me that when bureaucrat cites environmental concerns, (s)he is intentionally duping the base.

• I'm sure most NY-ers will be very pleased with themselves, that they are all ensuring no one is underpaid, and everyone makes a good wage. I wonder if and when they will figure out from whom that extra money will come. I'm not holding my breath.

    • Only if you come over and explain it to them. Suggestion: use pictures. Lots of them. Only chance. No way they will ever come to it on their own. Too many idee' fixe's.

      Otherwise, they'll just blame it on the inherent evil of businessmen, which just goes to justify socialism.

      Just to show you how math-challenged and cause-and-effect challenged they are, I have a FB friend, a fellow professional. He wasn't political at first. Now he turns out to be a screaming liberal, posting political statements almost exclusively.

      He posts this pic - typical stuff that goes around FB all the time, inspirational stuff usually - that says something ragging on Walmart, saying Wegman's pays their employees 33K/year, with all the health bennies, and why can't Walmart do the same.

      This was one of those mouth-agape moments. A real let-them-eat-cake moment. Wegman's is a high-end market making money mostly from high end, high profit margin stuff, and lots of gourmet prepared foods geared toward the typical NJ professional working 55-60 hour weeks with no time to make dinner. A person making 33K/yr can't afford Wegman's. But apparently, this sort of very simple math has to be spelled out.

• I wonder if you can appeal based in the TX decision about abortion clinic standards that were deemed to excessive and not effective and just a way to attack based on politics.

  This seems like a true 14A issue of unequal protection (screwing).
